'This is the 3rd time that I am returning to Halcyon. It really is the best hotel on Mawella beach (and maybe even in whole of southern province :) The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff are super friendly, including owner Xander, it's absolutely right on the beach , the food is great. What more to say, it's a little peace of heaven :) '

'Kamer met uitzicht op zee geboekt en meer voor betaald. Helaas geen zee te zien vanaf zowel het balkon als door de ramen. Airco functioneerde niet voldoende en lekte zowel in de kamer als op het balkon. Badkamer ruikt niet fris en komt zeer weinig water uit de douche. Verder wel schone nette kamer. Goede grote handoeken. Volgende keer zou ik toch een ander verblijf boeken. '

'Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. I kindly suggest to put up curtains or a blurred glass to have privacy. Also, the balconies are connected to each room with a sliding door which is kind of unnecessary i feel. 'Very friendly family service. Great location for beach - 2-3 min walk. Lots of great restaurants around, especially on beach. Next to road, so easy to get tuktuk. Comprehensive convenience shop 4 min walk. Lovely pool with outdoor shower. A/C kept room at nice temperature, with ceiling fan. Family room had two double beds and we had a cot, so family of five well-suited. Room cleaned every 3 days. Malee cooked us lovely hoppers, dal and sambal for breakfast, whilst the children loved fresh...
