'Very helpful and pleasant staff. Bathroom a bit on the small side (most likely depends on what room type you have and I had the cheapeast). Internet was very unstable and slow and not suitable for business travels. Buy a 4G card and a MiFi device until they have sorted this out. View of the room was very poor but the location of the hotel is excellent and compensated for this as I only used it a few hours to work and sleep. Would still recommend this hotel and most likely will book it myself...

'This is an exceptional boutique hotel, simply one of the best stays we have had ever. A lovely property, each room (and we stayed in a couple) is distinct. All modern amenities, beautifully renovated property in Goa-Portugese style gives the feeling of an opulent home. What makes it exceptional is the service - the team are faultless, were there for our every need - need something off the menu? another towel? a pen? print something? arrange a taxi? provide local guidance? eat early? eat late?...

'I spent my last night in India at the Malabar House in Fort Kochi and it was quite the treat. I was upgraded to the Garden suite and the room was stunning from the fixtures to the artwork. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food was fantastic! The hotel is ideally located just a block or two inland from the harbor and the fishing nets. Gorgeous property. '

'We only stayed one night in this property. The location is excellent - very close to The Gate of India meaning that you can walk to a number of different places eg colaba causeway. The property itself is quite hidden away and doesn't look that impressive from the outside, however inside it is very well set up. It is quite small so not on the scale of much larger hotels. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast in the morning was very good. Despite the central location it was not noisy...

'Hotel was originally well built but is not maintained as it should be. Need repairs and new paint etc was really annoyed by the firealarm in our room which one night went off thoughout the night with 5-10 minutes interval without the staffbe able to turn it off - even after more complaints to the staff. '
