'After a busy week touring Monteverde and Arenal, our stay at this house on Playa Negra was a much needed restful few days at the beach. Loved the proximity to the beach to pop over the street when we wanted as well as the relaxing sounds of the waves and ocean from the expansive balcony and all the delicious restaurants nearby. House was clean, beautifully furnished and well set up with everything we needed, even a few beach chairs and boogie boards and noodles. Only thing I hadn’t truly focused...

'Marta has built a truly beautiful space, and is a wonderful hostess! She responds very quickly and provided exceptional suggestions for our stay in Puerto Viejo!!! We loved this home so much. There's plenty to explore in the surrounding community. When not exploring, it is the perfect little oasis for a swim, siesta or overall tranquility. We can't wait to come back!!!'

'Villa mango was the perfect spot for our family reunion. A pool in the centre everyone with their own space and room and a gorgeous outdoor kitchen and bbq. Would highly recommend. Yves was such a great host and helped with every small question and even sourced some amazing fresh fish for us one day. Thank you!'

'We had the most amazing stay at the zen villa. The home has all the supplies that you need in case you grab groceries to cook. We enjoyed every minute on the pool deck and on the beach located down the pathway. The bed is comfy, and the grounds are beautiful. Just note, there isn’t AC in the house except in the bedrooms. There are some great restaurants located right across the street from the property in case you need a chill day and don’t want to travel in town.'

'What a beautiful property! Communication with the owner was fantastic. We rented the three casitas on the property and all were perfect for our group. The grounds and pool were immaculate. The wildlife was abundant with sloths, parrots, toucans, capuchin monkeys, howlers and more. Cesar and Maribel were there for all of our needs and made us feel safe. Would highly recommend for sure!'

'This was a nice place to stay and was close to everything without being in the middle of it. Lots of restaurants walking distance and in between 2 towns if you need to get something. The beach is directly across the street. This street is the only road on this coast so it can get a little busy/noisy. House only holds 4 at most but if you had a few friends staying around this would be a great place to meet up cook meals and walk to the beach. Biggest drawback is no A/C so if your not use to...

'This property is a doorway to nature's paradise. Being set in jungle with an open living theme there is nothing to not love about Congo bongo. The cry of howler monkeys at 4am followed by the jungle waking up to the evening cry of the toucan nature is all around. The ambience is complimented by the warmth and friendliness of the people who call this place home.'

'For our anniversary in 2023, we planned a Costa Rican adventure on the Caribbean. We found this house and it looked perfect for our family, with three adolescents. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency that forced us to postpone. The owners were incredibly gracious and allowed us to reschedule for February 2024 with no fees or penalties. 'Quiet, secluded cottage with great yard on the beach. Many good restaurants, shops, groceries nearby. Easy access to other great beaches, a national park and wildlife nature preserve. Liked watching the leaf cutting ants and observing green and blue black spotted little poison dart frogs along with other wildlife in the back yard.'
