'Overall, Melia Serengeti was a delightful lodge and our stay was nearly perfect. Sadly they were doing controlled fires in the surrounding area meaning that there was heavy smell of smoke and burning which affected air quality significantly. If it weren’t for this the place would be perfect. '

'The staff went over and above to make this a unique experience. Our butler Ali was superb, Gideon who cleaned our room is out of this world. Folds your shirts and makes the bed twice a day. 'We actually stayed at the sister camp Serengeti Safari Lodge because of an upgrade. We had a tented cabin with a nice bathtub, separate shower, nice comfy bed tented with a mosquito net. We could see some game from our balcony and could see the sunrise from our bed, Which made our stay an unforgettable experience. The staff is very kind and attentive. 'De Lobo Lodge is grootschalig. Ligt in een prachtige omgeving. De lodge zelf is wel wat gedateerd. Helaas was het zwembad tijdens ons verblijf in maintenance. 'The property did not have our reservation from Expedia and when provided informed us they were full and could not accommodate. They then did not replay or connect again for 3 days while in Tanzania without our scheduled second camp accommodations we paid over $1200 for. Very disappointed in this camp and Expedia. We had a great safari over all and ended up bailing on the northern Serengeti and getting a hotel in Arusha after a few days in the bush. '
