The owners were incredibly friendly and generous. We were made to feel really welcome. Lots of lovely little extras made the stay extra special in what is a gorgeous part of Wales.

We have just returned from Afon Gwyn Country House and have nothing but praise for our whole experience Rana And Gareth are the perfect hosts and make you feel very welcome and at home.Nothing is too much trouble for them. You are politely asked to wear slippers (which are supplied)throughout the property.Not a problem because you really wouldn't want to tread mud into their immaculate home. Breakfast was amazing.Plenty of choice and willing to change anything you asked for. The bedroom and bathroom are extremely clean. Everything has been well thought out to everyones needs. From the tea and coffee making facilities to the bathroom accessories.Everything is taken care of. In a very good location for traveling to the many attractions Wales has to offer. Highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Lovely couple, wonderful breakfast, gorgeous surroundings. We were made to feel very welcome, but we did not anticipate the owners living at the property and thus having to remove our shoes on entering the house. We thought it was a hotel, which I guess was our mistake. The room was huge and the bed comfortable but the decor was very dated. The bathroom was carpeted which was seriously disgusting as the toilet splashed out when flushed. The shower door was made for a very thin person and I struggled to squeeze through. Great bath though! Room was very hot, even though it was not hot outside. It was very uncomfortably hot in the room, therefore we would not stay again, but there are many positives. The breakfast was divine, but didn't enjoy having to chat with owners and other guests first thing in the morning.

The property was well maintained and in a good location. We were made welcome by Gareth and Rana and it felt like a home from home. The breakfast choice was excellent with a good choice of cereal, toast and cooked options The room facilities were excellent with everything you could wish for. I would highly recommend this property.

Stunning property, beautiful rooms in a beautiful location. Gareth and Rana were just the best hosts and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The breakfast was amazing! Nothing we didn't like, our stay was literally perfect!

Relaxing Comfortable Weekend
Welcoming hosts Rana and Gareth Lovely property. A short drive from Betws Y Coed in an idyllic location Really clean; truly sparkling! Alice Suite is the largest room we have ever stayed in and was really comfortable and thoughtfully fitted out The bathroom had a shower, bath and his and her sinks and was luxurious The breakfasts were generous; made to order and both delicious and beautifully presented. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Afon Gwyn Country House or return ourselves in the future.

Fabulous place to stay, the country house is very grandeous with original features. Gareth and Rana were great hosts, down to earth, good sense of humour and easy to talk to. They were more than happy to give advice on things to do locally and were very accommodating to our needs (including oat milk for coffee which was already on the table every morning without even needing to ask). The breakfast was delicious and rooms were pristinely clean. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Beautiful B&B
Beautiful B&B, Gareth and Rana were before very welcoming. Room was very clean and spacious, Bathroom was equally as spacious. Rana's breakfast was delicious, and was served in the lovely conservator looking out onto the garden area. It was a prefect time to grab Gareth and get any tips for our day ahead. We would not hesitate to staying here again in the future and will recommend to anyone thinking of visiting North Wales. Thank you Gareth and Rana.

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The room was absolutely spot on and the hospitality was amazing. They were both so helpful with everything from the room to asking questions about things to do in the area. Nothing was too much trouble. They were both so lovely and always had time to chat to us, asking about what we had planned while we were staying. I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here, you would not be disappointed and would enjoy every minute of your stay there.

A real gem - Gareth and Rana are wonderful hosts
My Son and I fancied a few days away enjoying the delights of Snowdonia, despite the rather wet and windy weather it was an absolute blast. I can't recommend Afon Gwyn Country House (and the wonderful Gareth and Rana) highly enough. Consummate hosts. We had to ditch our plan to climb Snowdon so Gareth gave us plenty of great recos.
