Goede douche, goed bed. Ligging vlakbij strand. Mooi zwembad. Niet alle faciliteiten open:zwembad bar dicht, groot terras met mooi uitzicht dicht, alleen ontbijt en de keuken de rest van de dag dicht . Geen matrassen op de zwembad bedden. Oude meubels op balkon. Achterstallig onderhoud van hotel. Geen airport shuttle, wel taxi geregeld (tegen betaling) door hotel.

After reading many reviews before booking, I hope this helps the next person looking to book. The property is wonderful, anyone to complain truly that’s disappointing. Rooms were spacious, clean and above average for a typical room. The pool is absolutely wonderful and open 24 hours. Waves & Seahorse restaurant is basically on the property and are two fantastic choices. The beach is a solid beach. We were there Sun-Tues and it was very quiet, the swim up bar was open on Sunday until 6 but closed Mon & Tues but we were really the ones at the pool so I understand why it was closed. The breakfast in the morning was great, made to order and lots of options. Only feedback is, the resort was quiet so hours are limited on everything and it’s about 15 mins from the main part of town. Frankies tours was great and super reasonable price at only 150 TT PP and if you have time go to Pigeon Point, you can easily spend the full day at Pigeon Point.

We need to stay overnight to get our connecting to Tobago. The hotel was clean, staff was helpful. Check in and out was very easy.

The property design is very nice, however, it is somewhat unkept and in need of maintenance. The service is at a bare minimum, with a pleasant staff member in between. The good thing is that the facility has a very nice pool and is close to the beach. The room we stayed in for 2 nights was spacious and comfortable and amenities available. The hotel is good if you're interested in solitude but there aren't any activities on the property. Having said that, the price for what you get is good. My wife and I enjoyed our stay, since we had our car, and were able to move around as we wanted. We are however, inclined to try a new hotel the next time we visit Tobago.

Awesome oceanview, very nice. We visited this hotel during low-season (March/April). Service level is reduced since almost no customers. However, the staff did what they could to offer well crafted drinks and arrange taxi pickup service. The place itself has come into years of service. A general renovation of several details such as floor tiles, lights, bath ventilation needs to be upgraded.

The facility is run down and old. The black out drapes in the room I stayed in does not have the backing I was not pleased with the facilities at all, the fish ponds are mossy and smells terrible this property needs to be upgraded

Worst service ever . Actually there is no service in this hotel . Vars are closed , food is very limited. Poor quality and very limited breakfast . No help or detailed explaining while checking in . All amenities are very poor quality . I do not recommend anyone to visit this hotel .

A Bit Tired and No Fresh on site Catering
We have stayed previously at the Grand Courlan prior to Covid lockdown 2020/2021. We thought we would stay again this year and hope service was similar or better, but it was not. Room was OK, tired, broken drains in shower, sink missing plugs and very dirty. Furniture tired. Maid service poor. Service was slow, be it at breakfast or when ordering lunch at the bar which takes over an hour to get delivered from Waves, 100 yards away. We did enjoy the stay, as we know the location well and the beach was great to walk and enjoy daily. The resort swimming pool is good and well maintained, although no pool bar at present due to lack of guests and maintenance. The hotel breakfast restaurant “Pinnacles”was boarded and padlocked up, but no work was being done on it. So very disappointing as this was one of the reasons we stayed. So breakfast served in small area downstairs and food was poor. Cold old and stale foods served daily for breakfast. No fresh cooked food was served, all of it was from buffet containers that had been out for hours. The resort could be great again, but needs care and attention, especially rooms and staff. Fingers crossed management start by improving service and invest in mainteagain.

This hotel has so much potential but it seems as though ownership does not care to repair and maintain it. Many of the amenities advertised are not actually in operation (spa, poolside/ swim up bar, restaurant). As far as I can tell the restaurants are more or less locked and abandoned and only a casual buffet breakfast is available in the morning, which was admittedly decent. Similarly, the spa looked abandoned like much of the property. Most staff were friendly but some were not particularly personable or helpful. Otherwise the room was clean, but we had to call for assistance to lock the door to the balcony. Again, a hotel with potential perhaps with a change in ownership or management.

6/10. Cons The limited breakfast options, the two days I ate there, only sausage and smoked herring were the “meat” options and I eat neither. I had to eat breakfast elsewhere on the other days. Also, the water displays needed to be cleaned ie the fountain at the entrance and the fish area by the pool. This would add to the beauty of the property. Pros There was an abundance of linens and the staff seemed to clean daily. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had an ocean view room which overlooked the pool as well and the view was amazing. Hotel was very quiet which I liked.

Property was very quiet and relaxing. Not much people on the Thursday - Friday which I preferred, however more on Saturday. Bfast was good 8/10! Pool huge 4-8ft deep - good dept for swimmers. Staff was generally friendly. Received welcome drink. Room was clean although signs of the properly being old it was fairly maintained. Checked out 12:30 to my comfort. No acitvities on the compound during my stay. Would prefer a mirowave as there is a mini fridge Adults only really helps with no kids screaming. Overall good experience, should you want a quiet, lowkey, relaxing getaway. P.S remember to put DND on the door should you not want towel change .

The Hotel appeared spacious maybe due to time of year, it wasn’t busy at all. I loved the layout. Some of the decor were impressive. The property was extremely clean. Good facilities apart from not good shower drainage and a broken bathroom extractor fan. All in all 8/10.
