The Grand Hyatt Bogota was not what I thought it would be. It was simply another hotel who thrives off the pristine reputation of what it once was. The staff is mostly polite but many were limited in their ability to speak English. The rooms were clean but the carpets were dirty. As someone who stayed in their king size corner Andes suite (800 sqft) I was a bit disappointed with the condition of the carpet within the bedroom. The Spa staff were a bit rude and seemed lost. Many of them did not speak English at all and they ended up making what was suppose to be a street fee experience a stressful one. The security is all over the building and you feel safe. Despite M16s being held by the presidents army because the president is there. But still the presence of safety is there. The outside of the building is neat but the surrounding areas are a bit of a mess and not well maintained. As much as I enjoy the amenities and comfort ability of the Hyatt, I believe my next visit would be better suited at the Hilton or another competitor due to my subpar experience with a hotel that is suppose to offer an excessively comfortable and relaxing stay

I have stayed here twice now for business. I think it is one of the best hotels in Bogota. It’s pet-friendly, and the rooms are very nice. The only 2 “bad” things are that it gets super busy and the rate changes dramatically; one night can be 180, and the following, it can be 400! That makes it hard to choose this hotel whenever I come to Bogota.

Our stay was fantastic and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I highly recommend getting a room with Grand Club access on the 13th floor as it has spectacular mountain views and the breakfast and cocktail hour food was delicious.

The place was very nice, quite and clean. My issue was giving worng information at checking telling me we would get only happy hour for $60 per day from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. We requested 3 nights! At check out only to find out we were charged for four days. Also found out that breakfast and lunch was included which was never explained by Jessica at check-in. I requested to speak with a manager and all she said was nothing she could do about it, no apology.
