There was lots of marijuana smell on the second floor and in front of the hotel. I know that marijuana is legal in Boston, but come on…{{sighing}} And the guests towards the end of our floor were shouting and partying at 2 am. They woke everyone up. Of course, that's where the marijuana smell came from. Frustrating stay. The breakfast wasn't too bad. Fresh fruit would have been nice. The fan and A/C were working good. The carpet in our room was old and disgusting. They need to update the flooring. The Adams Restaurant was reasonably priced, but not the best burgers.

For the cost it was not worth it. People fighting at night and smoking marijuana and the smell was strong in hall. Had all the nice outdoors sitting areas closed off. And problems in kitchen area, and closed.

My reservation had been cancelled after I had requested cancelling my second night because of change in my work itinerary. It was rescheduled with a confirmation but the property didn't have the reservation. It took a while to get that straighten out. The front desk clerk was very nice & accommodating. They have a no smoking policy and my room 313 REEKed for smoke. I did have a beautiful view of the lake. My desk chair was broken which I called to request a new one. And then they assigned my room to a another guest. I had a Do not disturbed sign so no knock and then was letting himself in. The bartender was awesome and the food was delicious. Easy parking too

If I could give no stars I would. I don’t give bad reviews but I would never ever stay there ever. The room was very musty and rug disgusting. It was not a cheap room either. One good thing-The sheets were clean. The walls are so thin, we could hear the next door person snoring and we had to call concierge a few times because our other neighbors were so loud at 2 am - and they did nothing until my 3rd call. The air conditioner/ heather was soooo loud and the hallway smelled like weed and so musty. Also the arm chair in our room looked disgusting- so many stains. Never ever will I stay at any Best Western.

Care has been taken tontry and keep this tired hotel up with the times ... with middling success. It was clean and got the job done ... and the food in the Adams Pub was excellent - great co venience to have right in the hotel without having to go out. To be fair ... i checked in late, grabbed something to eat, crashed, and was out the door by 7am ... so cant comment on "surrounding area" etc. For the price it got the job done.
