'This was a charming inn in the countryside of Vermont with beautiful mountains and valleys. Excellent location in the Mad River Valley to explore the small towns surrounding it!! 'The hosts are welcoming, the B&B is cozy and clean, and the breakfast is delicious. 'Owners were so nice, bed was great, linens and towels were wonderful. House is very old and only drawback (which is original to the house and should not be changed!) is the bar/latch style door handles. The Violet Room has its private bathroom across the hall landing, but if you get up in the night as we do, you do make a lot of noise rattling those handles! 'We were up to visit my mom. For 3 days. This was perfect location. The kids enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. It was very clean and quiet. The host was very attentive to our needs and responded immediately when I had a question. The view was beautiful and the yard was gorgeous. Will definitely stay there again.'

Don’t go here: nothing like the picture’s
"This hotel missed the opportunity to do some update’s in the 1980’s, and didn’t try to catch up afterwards. Really everything in worn out. A horrible matras, big stains on the ceiling, old and dubious carpet. An airco from the roman empire that didnt work properly. The bathroom was falling apart, like literally. Even an easy fix, the towels, did disappoint: to small, and very thin (due to aging). Add to this that it was the noisiest hotel i have ever been in. Although the hotel was not fully booked, I got upstair neighbours. The woke me up at 6.00, and I think they did not made extra noise, it was so noisy it sounded like (the very needed) construction work). Regarding the previous reviews (which I unfortunately did not read upfront), it must be known to the management that there property is noisy to the max. Why give people than rooms underneath eachother? Staff while checking is was nice though. "
