'We enjoyed staying at 5 Shadycombe cottage. Owner sent lots of useful information by email shortly before stay. The cottage was compact, clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were a little compact. The cottage location and proximity to Salcombe allowed us to walk into town. We found fabulous art store, along with a great bakery for breakfast goods and pasties, in addition fudge, chocolate and ice cream stores all very yummy. 'We had a wonderful week at West Wing. We loved the arrival pack with biscuits etc in - very thoughtful. The cottage smelt clean & fresh despite allowing animals. The master bedroom with free standing bath was divine & the whole cottage was very well equipped with a highchair, cot etc. The facilities of trampoline, playhouse, pool etc for the children in the grounds is excellent for families. 'Our 3rd stay with Peggy at Brambles, we booked extra nights as it is such a gaven. The accommodation is better than described , very comfortable and for a family it’s a five star hotel but the freedom of self catering. Lots of lovely walks nearby and close to Thurieston beach and hope cove so plenty of walks , great food and accessible beaches nearby. Peggy is so welcoming and nothing is to big an ask ! Looking forward to our next stay !'

'The property was in a lovely quiet position but did feel the shop should have been open whilst people were on site because of its location. When we arrived the sofa still had some sand on, there are cobwebs in bedroom windows and some kitchen utensils were not too clean. We really enjoyed our stay and felt totally relaxed whilst there. Would recommend.'

'A lovely house, that has everything you need, and all items of good quality. The prosecco & crisps was a lovely touch which we thoroughly enjoyed after a long journey and also grateful for the milk. The house has a wonderful happy feel to it and the views are amazing. We loved staying here and can’t wait to go back.'

'We had a great time at Jacks stay. The flat was great, it is nicely renovated and was spotlessly clean. It included everything we needed and a handy location for the supermarket and easy walk into town.'

'Made to feel special from arrival - charming driver in Land Rover collected is from their car park to take us to the island ….welcome champagne ….delightful canopes before dinner …spoilt over breakfast and luggage taken to the sea tractor for return home when still charming man took our luggage up to the car park. It is a special place …years ago when I stayed I missed having a TV and I couldn’t get phone reception …but the WiFi now works so I could relax … It is a wonderful place to go to...
