'We stayed off-season and enjoyed the peace and quiet, even with many of the rooms occupied. Our room was clean at eye level but definitely needed a proper cleaning. The foyer, hall/stairwell, common room, and public bathroom were pretty rough (especially the bathroom). I don't think the owner of this room is responsible for the property (but I'm guessing on that). When I finally complained, someone ran the vacuum in the foyer and common room. The bathroom remained uncleaned. All in all, nice...

'We stayed at the James Buchanan Hotel during a trip to whitetail for skiing and the hotel was my favorite part of the experience. It was cozy, clean, and they even upgraded our room. It was so much fun to go to the pub in the hotel. The manager of the pub was so attentive and polite and everyone made sure we had a great stay. I can’t say enough nice good things about this place and I hope we will go back someday soon!'

'Lovely area and fantastic staff. Some of the rooms are a little sparsely furnished but they’re very clean and well maintained. The hotel sits over a tavern so be ready for some noise leakage on nights when there is live music. Not a lavish experience but overall a great stay.'

'The (hotel) room was recently and nicely renovated. It was spacious with nice comfortable furniture. Unfortunately I did have one minor negative comment, there was a scent that I'd relate to the cleaning/laundry supplies, not so bad that we couldn't deal with but not pleasant either. Now back to the positive, our breakfast was fresh, hot and a very nice selection of breakfast foods. Overall, my wife and I would absolutely return to this hotel for future stays. '

'We were here for just one night while on a road trip. It was a good stop-over, there were a few restaurants close by. The included breakfast was a bit disappointing, very few choices but adequate if you just want a muffin and coffee. For our purposes it was just fine. Room was comfortable and clean.'

"This is a low budget motel, so I don't expect much. But the room has to be clean and this was not! Multiple stains on the bed linnen, sheets and towels. The floor in the bathroom was sticky and the carpet was not clean."
