It had great staff!! Loved it. Only issue was the price of a box of 20 band aides for $27.00 American dollars !! I had a cut on my foot and needed to buy some . Don’t shop at the gift shop was the only down side .

The towels and wash clothes had permanent stains so should have been disposed of not washed and reused. The flies dominated the buffet eating areas very gross trying to eat with massive amount of flies swarming around. Manager made excuses did not have any customer service skills. Room cleaning was ok daily. But forgot to provide replacement items a few times. They billed me a duplicate charge at check in. Was reluctant to look into it. Once they verified refused to give proof of refund. Told me to email them and they would reply but they never did. Restaurant were mediocre portions small (one piece of broccoli). Limited options. Drinks not strong but Riu Party at Santa Fe side was fun. Hookah very over priced. Will not visit again.

Good morning my name is Fatasha Thomas a loyal customer of your resorts. To whom this email may reach, I’m contacting you in regards to my stay in Cabo from May 5th-9th 2024. Upon my arrival, I notified the front desk that the air conditioner wasn’t functioning properly in our room. When we got ready to take a shower the water was freezing cold. Maintenance was supposed to be sent to check it, but for the first day and a half no air or hot water. The water got resolved by the end of our second day but not the air. It was extremely hot and I requested to have the room switched but was told the resort was completely booked so switching rooms wasn’t an option. Trying to keep cool until the issue was resolved I was out in the pool most of the day trying to keep cool and suffer maybe sunburn. I’ve travelled and chose to stay on RIU property a plethora of times and never experienced anything like this. There were no accommodations made due to these issues as the front desk had assured me. I reached back out to the property and was told to contact you directly through this email and something could be done about it here. I travel a lot with my family and I as stated we love it here, what we don’t love is paying for an experience and getting less than we expect and or deserve. When we plan vacation and travel we want to have a wonderful experience and this time fell short. Please get back to me in regards to what the resolution will be. Thank you!

Aesthetically the hotel is nice because it’s new but I would say the other Riu Cabo San Lucas is still much better even if it’s not as new. Other than that things start to go downhill. More for a senior crowd. Last hotel in the stretch of hotels across the beach so it’s on the opposite side of downtown where it’s pretty dead. The parties within the hotel are very boring. But If u want to party in downtown u will definitely need to take a taxi. Also didn’t like how easy it was for guests of the next door riu Santa Fe (all college kids) to enter the property even though they aren’t suppose to. Also staying at this hotel gives u access to all 3 rius. But I was walking around the other 2 hotels at night and security approached me saying i can’t walk around at night. Lacks basic amenities such as toothbrush/paste (u have to buy it at the gift store for a very expensive price if u didn’t bring ur own). There are no other stores in the hotel nor its nearby surroundings. And service isnt good in terms of room service. I needed 4 towels for my room of 2 people. the staff at the hotel asked me “why u need so much.” Food is pretty bad. Bakery is nasty. Salesman always heckling guests inside the hotel because the hotel gives them sales tables. We also requested 2 double bed but they gave as a king bed. Also the “resort credit” is basically just discounts for expensive spa services and excursions.

My husband and I thought this property was pretty great! We believe the only downside to the property was that the transportation service that Expedia provided with the package was very inconvenient at the time of departure. We had to take a taxi and use our money, because if not, we would have not made it on our flight. Also, we noticed that the cups provided at the bars are not clean. They are simply just washed off with water and given to to the next customer. In times like these where there is Covid, this is not very sanitary.. besides, this, we thought the hotel was pretty good.

3 start experience. Overall I have stayed at better Riu properties and I expected better. The food was worse than the others and the bed was like sleeping on concrete. I recently stayed at this hotel and was impressed by its beautiful facilities and spacious layout. The restaurants on-site offered delicious dining options, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay. If you’re a twenty-something looking for more of a “party atmosphere”, then this resort is for you. If you’re looking for a tranquil resort to relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the ocean, this is NOT the resort for you. This is our 4th time to Cabo, but first time at a Riu property. Unfortunately, we won’t be staying at a Riu again. Let’s start with the pro’s- 1. Great ocean view from the terrace bar 2. Easy beach access 3. Friendly staff 4. Food was overall fine 5. Clean room The cons, in our opinion far outweigh the pros. You do get what you pay for. We paid $1,700 for 4 nights (included flights) with the all-inclusive package, and I would never pay more than that for this resort. If you’re paying more than that, trust me when I say, it’s not worth it. Here are the cons- 1. Loud party music ALL DAY at the pool. If you use the back pool, behind the speakers, it’s not as loud. 2. You have to get out and reserve your spot at 7:30am or you won’t get a pool chair. 3. Food was hit or miss. The buffet, Krystal and Sofia are the best restaurants. 4. The theatre with all the entertainment is an outdoor theatre right in the middle of the property. Which means, you absolutely will hear the live entertainment as if it’s on your patio until 11:00pm, when it’s done for the night. 5. Resort esthetics need some attention. The awnings at the pool were torn and had holes in them, pool towels were ratty and falling apart. Spend a little extra and get that “next step up” resort!

The property was clean, and the service was excellent! We had to switch rooms last night due to loud neighbors, but the staff promptly accommodated us. The buffet was good, and the entertainment was enjoyable! I particularly liked the bar cart each night; they had a new drink every time.

The hotel is beautiful, on the beach with amazing views. The rooms were clean and cleaned once a day. We enjoyed that we were able to go to hotel next door for their pool parties then back to ours for some relaxation. The food was good for an all inclusive resort. Next time we come back we’ll be staying here again! Only 8 mins from down town where we went for lunch and an excursion. Evening entertainment was also fun to watch.
