If you are looking for a rustic cabin, feel with modern touches this is for you. Just a nice peaceful place.
Beds and pillows were comfortable, ac worked, lots of towels, kitchen was stocked, home was clean, and there is a nice gas grill on the spacious deck with plenty of chairs. Lots of sleeping room. There were eight of us and we only used the two bedrooms, -still more sleeping room in the two lofts each with two other beds. I was worried about the one bathroom, but even with the three small children it was not an issue. The home is in a nice quiet location and the beach is just a few miles down the road. You are on a main road, but you would never know it. The back yard is nestled back in the woods with lots of space for the kids and the dogs to run safely. We enjoyed a campfire and made smores with the kids before driving down the road to go Yooperlite hunting at Calumet Waterworks Park. On the one day it rained everyone was entertained with the pool table, and the hook and ring game (who knew that would be such a hit)
You’re very close to some amazing trails, waterfalls, and beaches, 20 min. from Houghton (MTU), 5 to 10min. to Calumet for groceries, and a nice scenic drive to Copper Harbor. We drove all over trying to see as many sights as we could in the short time we were there but the grandkids had the most fun at the cabin and surrounding area -our 4 year old grandson was very upset when we had to leave "his new cabin in the woods". Would definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your lodge.
