'Stayed one night in old historic post office building. It was well appointed and worth the cost. Heat is good as well as water pressure and temperature in shower. Communication from staff/owner was great and very responsive and helpful.'

'The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom...

'The property was very peaceful and absolutely gorgeous, the only issue we had was how hot the room was at night. I had to replace the thermostat batteries with the remote batteries just so it would work. 12am it was 80° in our room with the windows fully open and the fans going. But we will be back someday! '

The owner was engaging, helpful and also a wonderful chef. She prepared and served a delicious breakfast for us before sending us on our way with helpful and informative information about the communities and sites on Whidbey Island.'

'When I checked in I was told Expedia made a mistake and the king with a hot tub that I paid for was not correct and our room did not include a hot tub. If we wanted the room with a hot tub it would be an extra $75.00 on top of the $206.00 I paid Expedia'
