Cute, cozy & little getaway in Camden
My husband and I stayed here in for several nights and really enjoyed our time. It's a very cute guest cottage close to the main downtown. Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable bed, and quiet. Nice amenities, such as a fan, record player, wine/bottle opener & glasses, kitchen supplies, plenty of blankets, and designated parking spot. It was also very nice having a fenced backyard available for us. Highly recommend this charming cottage!

Great location, comfy and clean.
Lovely apartment next to owner's house. No problems except for loss of power for a bit (neighborhood-wide) one day. Not a problem as we were out and about.

It was great until after we arrived at 3:30 and the property owner decided to leaf blow the property until 6pm...all we wanted to do was tk.a nap...but we couldn't...otherwise it was clean beautiful and a great location.

Jacobs Avenue Cottage is absolutely perfect! Very comfy living area and bedroom. So many nice touches like coffee choices, nice bath products and comfortable linens. We definitely hope to come back.

Fun on the East Coast
Beautiful property and within walking distance to the beach and downtown activities. Amanda was exceptional and always ready to help with sightseeing advice. We really enjoyed our relaxed stay and would love to return someday soon.

Idyllic and just the right distance from town
The property was immaculate and welcoming. Communication with the owner was seamless. She made herself available for recommendations and any needs I might’ve had during my stay. Plenty of room to sleep 3 to 4 adults. Everything you need to prepare meals and preserve food was there. The place was in walking distance from coffee, shops, restaurants, water,. But there is no tourist traffic within two blocks of the property. While the place is a little pricey, it actually ended up being less than any hotel room. I would have rented considering taxes and fees. This place was top rate, classy, and perfect.

This cottage is very cozy and ideal for it's location, it's a nice walk to restaurants and shops in town. The owner always responded quickly to questions we had, she was very easy going and helpful. It's a wonderful place to stay in Camden. We would definitely book there again!

Great stay in Camden
We stayed for multiple nights in the off season at this Camden property and it was lovely. The location was perfect allowing us to walk to/from the heart of town and harbor easily. The property itself was very comfortable for the two of us, cozy and nicely decorated. Listing is exactly as described. Would recommend staying here any time of year.

We found the cottage to be quite cozy, and almost everything we wanted to visit was nearby. A less than ten minute walk into town was an added bonus! Amanda was a wonderfully helpful host. She provided us with everything we needed, even food and hiking suggestions, both of which are abundant and close by.

Pictures don’t do this little place justice! It was an adorable spacious garage turned cottage located close to downtown Camden. Very clean, well equipped and the bed was delightfully comfortable. Everything was tastefully done as if it was meant to be a primary resident. I was impressed with everything about it. The hostess was kind, communicative and accommodating. Camden is a lovely place to visit and also used this as a home base to visit Portland, Bar Harbor and Arcadia. Definitely a gem!

We loved our week stay in Camden, a lovely town and central to many day trips, hiking, sailing, museums, etc. in the area. Amanda was a wonderful host and the place was clean and comfortable. Two small refrigerators, one up and one down were handy. Small kitchen and dining space but we ate dinners out. Would stay there again.

Comfy Cottage in a Charming Maine Town
My husband and I enjoyed staying at Jacob’s Cottage for 2 weeks. It was a perfect fit for our needs. We were visiting family and friends in the area. We were also close to Camden, Hope and Rockland. A great place to sleep after our fun-filled days. I loved the neighborhood and proximity to French & Brawn. I also enjoyed keeping it simple and not making meals. The host, Amanda, was very cheerful and helpful too.

Great location!
This darling property is in a great location near town; easy walk to shops and restaurants. It's lack of a water supply on the main level (kitchenette and bath upstairs), mini kitchen (bar-size refridge upstairs and down, no freezer), and no on-site washer/dryer were challenging for a long term visit, but the owner was very understanding and accommodating with this matter. This would be a perfect place for a short term visit for a single person or couple.

The cottage was perfect! Exactly like the photos. The location was great. I would definitely come back and stay again. We were in town looking to relocate. So staying in this cute neighborhood gave us a great feel for Camden. Camden is so close to all the other areas we wanted to view too.

Right in the heart of Camden.
We were looking for a dog friendly home and we found it. Walking distance to everything we wanted. The town of Camden is so beautiful with the parks and recreation areas just minutes away. The house had what we needed a bed and a shower. After we toured all day we ate fantastic dinners down town and slept warm and toastie in bed. The dogs had the run of the place with miles.of open road we walked and were amazed at the views of the bay. We really enjoyed our to short of stay vacation.

Sweet cozy cottage
We loved this cottage, the town, and the hiking. The cottage had ample room for the two of us. It was clean, charming, and cozy. The town was spectacular. We walked to town at least twice a day. We love Camden! We will definitely stay here again when we return to Camden. We highly recommend this sweet cottage and this town for a relaxing vacation with plenty of activities to do.

Traveling solo to Maine with my dog a few weeks ago, one of the places I stayed in was Amanda's cottage. The location can't possibly be beat - I walked into town many times a day, as well as the lovely small beach nearby. I do enjoy cooking in when staying at VRBOs, and did here as well. Scrounging around, I found the best set of knives I've ever seen in a rental, and most anything anyone would want to fix simple meals. It should be noted that the fridge upstairs in the kitchenette is a mini-fridge, very small, but there is another "under-the-counter" fridge downstairs in the main room that is a nice size, but neither has a freezer, just something to keep in mind if you arrive with things that need to be kept frozen, and if you want ice, you'll need to pick some up at the very good Hannaford's grocery store very close by. Camden is a gem, my third visit in four years, and I am planning my trip next year. As well, there is no oven, just a small toaster oven -- a new, larger toaster oven would be really handy for "grab and go" dinners, so often used by vacationers who don't want to go out to dinner every night... Excellent quality bed and bath linens, and I found the bed comfortable. Amanda has a lovely family and a great puppy. Check-in was a breeze... Thank you Amanda!

Great Camden Stay!
First, yes the kitchenette is upstairs in the bedroom area. Yes, the bathroom is tiny. Think European or RV/Cabin living when you consider those features. But, if you are okay with those features, you can't go wrong with this great Cottage! It's clean, quiet, walking distance to Camden, comfy bed, did I say clean? It's great for exploring the coastal communities. I went a far north as Acadia and as far south as St. George. I walked into Camden multiple times; no parking hassles that way! Short drive into Rockport. Amanda was very nice. If I ever have a chance to go back; I'd definitely stay again.

Amanda couldn't have been nicer or more helpful...we requested a super cleaning.
The rental itself isn't for everyone. The 1st floor is comfortable but the 2nd floor is in the eaves & cramped, with no head room & contains the kitchen, bedroom & bathroom in one space. The bathroom/shower was awkward, cramped & impossible to use.

Comfortable In-town space
This garage apartment was perfect for a long weekend in Camden. We walked or biked all over town. The downstairs is large enough and the upstairs adequate, although my tall friend felt a little constrained moving around, especially navigating the bathroom and shower (tight quarters). Comfortable bed, clean and quiet for sleeping. The owners were lovely, as were their children, and very attentive to your needs - we borrowed beach chairs and had lots of "tourist" questions easily answered. I'd recommend for two + a dog!

Wonderful place to stay!
My family stayed for 15 days at the cottage. We walked into Camden several times for dinner, shopping, ice cream (2 very good ice cream shops!), and general sight seeing. The walk to the beach is pleasant and scenic. Lots of beautiful houses and yards and friendly people. Also, the location of the cottage allows you easy "exit" from Camden as it gets very crowded in town if you had to drive through every time. We made day trips to most of the small towns nearby: Belfast (our favorite!), Rockland, Lincolnville, Bath, and others. The cottage was bright, sunny, and comfortable. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Amanda and her family live next door so if you have any problems or concerns, she is more than happy to help you. (We locked the key in the cottage one day...) The shower is a challenge if you are over 5'6" but certainly manageable. It is a lovely place to stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small, convenient place. Thank you for your hospitality!
