'This was a great place for my husband and I to stay when we wanted to explore the Hill Country on our motorcycle. Very clean and well stocked. They thought of everything. Fresh eggs and pork sausage, corn on the cob, watermelon, fruit, veggies for the grill, drinks, coffee, you name it!!! Absolutely loved sitting on the patio in the early morning and evening watching the deer in the back yard. Cool vintage memorabilia for decoration that makes it feel so homey. WE WILL BE BACK!!!'

'The bungalow is amazing. Everything you could ever need plus more. We brought our 2 yellow labs with us. The back yard was perfect for running and playing. There are lots of places to take them for walks and Bandera is pretty dog friendly too. If you are contemplating this place, go for it, you won’t be disappointed and neither will your pups!'

'From the minute we booked our stay in Comfort to be in the path of totality during the solar eclipse, Sharon was a gracious hostess. She made my fiancé and I feel more than welcome in her lovely home and gave us so many wonderful suggestions in and around the area. My fiancé is an avid cook and we truly enjoyed grilling under the stars and cooking in the well appointed kitchen while taking in the beautiful landscape. Beyond relaxing. We fell in love with the Texas hill country and our stay here...

'Our extended family (13 people, ages 1-73) does a Christmas-time stay at a new home each year. Except this year, when we decided to return to the home we used in 2022. Everything was perfect for our needs, the kitchen, living area, fire pit, outdoor area, and the pond for fishing. We were comfortable and happy and may look at a 2024 stay. Thank you!'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tarpley. The house was adorable and had everything we needed. The pool was amazing and we could have spent a whole day just floating in the pool. 'A spotless and comfortable home with some great touches! The owner had large canisters full of decaf and regular for the Keurig...plus creamers in the fridge. Bathrobes were provided. We so appreciated these thoughtful gestures! I loved being minutes away from the river walk, where we saw deer every morning. We would definitely stay here again!'

'We watched the total solar eclipse 10 feet from our doorstep. We shared it with dozens of people who had come to listen to the band and check out the wonderful antique store that is attached to this property. All of the furnishings and decorations in the Casita are those that have been repurposed from antiques and vintage materials just like those found in the store. This rental has, by far, the nicest decor of any VRBO that we’ve ever stayed in. It’s like staying inside an artists’ creation.'

"We had a very nice spacious ground floor room with king bed and large bathroom (suite 7) in the Carriage House annex. It had a view of the main building's rear. It is a nice heritage building. Towels and shower were good. Breakfast offered freshly made hot items and home-made jam of good quality. Friendly staff. Parking in the quiet street in front of the hotel. Breakfast time between 9 and 10 am, a bit too late to our liking. The king bed was a bit too sensitive to a partner's movements in bed. But these are minor issues. All in all recommended!"
