Goede accommodatie op wandelafstand Canterbury
Aparte ervaring om op een campus te verblijven. Maar voor de rest geen verschil met andere accommodaties. Alles goed geregeld.

short stay in Engeland
prachtig uitzicht op Canterbury op een ruim en met natuur overgoten campus van de Alan Turing University. Prima English breakfast om de dag mee te beginnen. Vele leuke badplaatsen in de onmiddelijke omgeving en niet te vergeten de prachtige old pubs ( the white horse in Chilham is meer dan een bezoek waard).

Heel aparte maar leuke ervaring. Het was bij aankomst wel slecht aangegeven waar we moesten zijn en de telefoon werd niet beantwoord.

Nice place for a night or two
Staying at a college campus is a unique opportunity. This one has easy access into town (bus stop nearby) and amenities on campus. Breakfast is cooked or cereals, toast. While I was there, there were tourists but also school children staying there. They were well behaved. The kitchen in the unit was not supplied with pots and pans so cooking was not possible. The fridge worked and I guess the microwave oven would too. The room itself had great bed and en-suite shower room. Very clean. Tea making facilities. In the evening some noise from students/visiting schools.

Basic student residence
It's OK for what it is, but it certainly isn't 3-star, or even really 2.5; it's just really basic student accommodation with no frills. For example, there's only a shower, with a fixed overhead rainfall head; the only lighting is extremely bright, with no low-light options; and there was only one chair in the room. The bed was comfortable enough for sleeping, but the mattress had a very stiff edge that made it uncomfortable to sit on. Parking arrangements were unclear; guests get a permit at reception, and there are a small number of spaces available, but they were all taken. The remaining spaces were all marked "Loading Only - 20 mins max, 24/7" - but people were parking there anyway, and it eventually transpired that "24/7" doesn't include weekends!! Access is not too bad but the officially available parking is not that close, depending on which block you're in, and of course there are no lifts, so guests may have to get luggage up/down several flights of stairs.

Peaceful environment
Lovely environment, room was spotless and good value. Breakfast ok but breakfast room not great as didn’t seem to have the staff to keep it tidy.

Great clean place to stay with a wide choice at breakfast. Tables there are set up to sit large numbers at one sitting. There is plenty of parking, if a bit of a walk away from the accommodation. There is a regular bus service into the centre of Canterbury costing about £2.50. The stops are a short walk down a grass path. I would stay there again.

Herberge im Grünen mit Blick über die Stadt, und doch mit Bus schnell zu erreichen. Vergleichbar mit einem Ibis Budget. Frühstück reichhaltig, man kann auf der Terrasse sitzen.

Not bad
The staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly. The campus is amazingly located in hectares of green and very well organised structure wise. The room was nice and clean but being a student accommodation the bed was not up to a hotel standard (small size and mattress uncomfortable and old as springs were coming out ). Couldn’t comment the breakfast because we had to rush out by 10 am so we missed it, although it was included.

Good value stay
This is a value for money place to stay. Everything we needed was provided including a good buffet breakfast with hot breakfast options. My only small complaint would be that the only lighting in the room was very bright ceiling lights with no alternative forms of lighting available. It would have been nice to have had the option of turning off the bright light and used bedside lighting instead.

Limpio y muy tranquilo.
Es como una residencia para estudiantes. Tiene todo lo necesario. El tamaño de la habitación no es excesivamente grande, pero es suficiente. Estaba muy limpio. El lugar muy tranquilo. El personal es muy atento. Buen desayuno. Quizá un poco difícil encontrar la recepción, porque está en medio de un montón de edificios iguales.

In this price bracket my stay at Turing college was excellent. The room, breakfast, free parking and Wi-Fi gave me everything I needed for comfortable one night stay.

Abbiamo scelto questo alloggio per la prima tappa del nostro tour del sud-est dell'Inghilterra in macchina. Al nostro arrivo veniamo accolti dal personale gentile e disponibile. La camera è in un campus universitario, si presenta essenziale, confortevole e pulita. Colazione all'inglese ricca. Perfetto per chi viaggia in macchina. Il centro di Canterbury raggiungibile con una passeggiata di 30 minuti oppure in 10 minuti di bus (la fermata è proprio all'ingresso del campus e passano ogni 15 minuti) Consigliato

Get what you pay for??
The room was clean, but you could hear every little noise. Check our time if 10am is far too early! Breakfast from 7:45-9:30 on a Sunday morning is far too early, hence we missed it, but that was our choice l guess! The housekeeping tried to come into our room at 9:20am when we were getting dressed, check out was 10am!! We had to park our car in a different campus car park and walk back to the campus we were staying at and got completely lost! If it wasnt for coming across the security guard we would of ended up walking the wrong way! Overall it was an experience we will not be repeating......😡

God billig overnatning i Canterbury
Værelserne er kollegieværelser, men der er det som man har brug (seng, badeværelse, el-kedel og god wifi). Der er teater og biograf på campus (ca. 5 minutters gang) og centrum af Canterbury kan man nå på ca. 15 minutter med bybussen.

Decent but not perfect
All good, breakfast was mass produced and frozen croissants. Its a one off but a shame really. We gave breakfast a miss on our second morning

Room was OK for the price, but did not realise there would be noisy summer school children making a lot of noise to nearly 2 am, and no one to control them, which interfered with our sleep.

Much better than I imagined
Pleasant welcome, rooms ready early which was great for us. Rooms light, bright and clean. Bed lovely and long. Very hot in the room...but we are in a heat wave. Easy parking. Canteen breakfast not bad at all, though Plates cold and food not that hot.
