Goed hotel, mooie ligging, rustig, frans ontbijt maar voor ons prima, pittoresk dorpje, voor uitstapjes wel aangewezen op een afdaling elke dag.

Prachtig uitzicht en een leuk dorpje
Wat anderen schrijven over het prachtige uitzicht vanaf het balkon kan ik zeker bevestigen (let wel op dat je een kamer met ocean view boekt). Het hotel is gelegen in een rustige buurt (Castelmola), vanwaar je met de bus (1x per uur) naar Taormina kan gaan. Deze dienst is ook zeer betrouwbaar. In Castelmola zelf waren verschillende restaurantjes en wij vonden dit kleine dorpje persoonlijk leuker dan het toeristische Taormina. Ontbijt is niet echt de moeite waard om bij te boeken. Het ontbijt wordt geserveerd in het cafe waar de check-in ook plaatsvindt en kun je ook voor dezelfde prijs van de kaart bestellen. Het bestaat uit zoetigheden en een koffie/sap. Tip: Bespaar door het er niet bij te boeken en ga naar de supermarkt (50m vanaf het hotel). Sla daar een lekker ontbijt in en geniet ervan op je balkon met het uitzicht. De kamers hebben een koelkast, dus dat kan prima. Nadeel van dit hotel was dat er geen Wi-Fi verbdinding in de kamers was. Wel in het café, maar die verbinding werkte nauwelijks.

Goed maar er is meer beloofd wat goed gemaakt is.
De plek is fantastisch, geweldig uitzicht,kamer groot schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Behalve dat er een aantal zaken die aangeboden worden op hotels.com er niet zijn: geen WiFi in het hotel, geen pantoffels en geen zwembad. Hotel Regina is zeker niet geschikt voor gehandicapten, je kan niet met de auto tot aan de deur komen. En er was geen buffet ontbijt. Het lijkt misschien een beetje klacherig maar ik vind dat als jullie niet weten wat anders is dan hetgeen dat jullie aanbieden, schept dat de verkeerde verwachting. Hotel Regina ligt niet in Taormina maar in het dorp Castelmola. Plus minus 10 kilometer daarvan, de hoogte in. Zonder vervoer kan je niet weg, daarentegen is goed en goedkoop ov. Tot 20:30 uur. Per saldo is onze waardering goed.

Arrivée sous des trombes d'eau, nous avons trouvé un bon accueil et surtout la suite regina, appartement du dernier étage avec terrasse et vue sur la mer. Excellent. Très bien placé au centre du village, et typique.

Kind of a mixed bag. We booked for 2 nights well in advance, and then decided to arrive a day earlier and added a 3rd night via a separate booking. It didn't work out that very well, as we got a rather tiny room with an external bathroom the first night. We did rectify this the next day after putting in the request to a much nicer and larger room with an attached bathroom. Not all rooms are equally sized so helps to ask. There is an additional €5 per night for parking to contend with, and whilst you can bring your car up to the top of the square to unload, be prepared for about a 5-7min walk downhill to the parking. Castelmola is situated on the very top of the hill so that's par for course. The views down to Taormina and out to the sea and fantastic, so make sure you get a sea-view room. You won't really meet the staff of the hotel, as all dealings are done with the cafe people out front, who were lovely.

La struttura si trova nel piccolo centro di Castelmola un paesino sopra Taormina, il check. In si svolge al bar della piazzetta principale dove la mattina si consuma la colazione inclusa e direi una super colazione con brioche e granite siciliane, spremuta, caffè... Vasta scelta. La struttura non ha uno stile molto nuovo ma la camera dove abbiamo alloggiato noi era spaziosa è dotata del necessario ma la cosa che la valorizza era la vista mozzafiato che potevi ammirare dalle 3 finestre tra cui una con balconcino. Spettacolare. Inoltre per il parcheggio ti viene rilasciato un permesso di. 5€ al giorno e poi parcheggiare nel parcheggio a pochi passi dalla struttura. Noi ci spostavano con il pullman che porta fino a Taormina centro molto comodo. La consiglio!!

Amazing
The room is fairly basic, but at this cost, you wouldn't expect much. What was beyond description was the view from the balcony. This place is a gem and I 100% recommend. Breakfast down at the Cafe was very nice too. Grazie ragazzi!

È un B&B. Bellissimo panorama, posizione scomoda.
Non si tratta di un hotel, ma di un B&B. Ho pernottato per una notte. Il check in si fa presso il bar nella piazzetta del paese, da cui siamo stati accompagnati verso la nostra stanza. Purtroppo ho avuto problemi a raggiungere la piazza: l'unica strada per avvicinarsi in auto al centro era chiusa per un evento, per cui ho lasciato auto e bagagli presso l'Hotel Villa Sofia (in contatto con il B&B Villa Regina) sulla strada per Castelmola ed abbiamo proseguito a piedi. I bagagli ci sono stati portati più tardi e, appena la strada è stata riaperta, ho portato l'auto in un parcheggio (comunale, a pagamento, pochi euro per la notte -il sito non permette di scrivere tariffe esatte in recensione) più vicino alla residenza. Ciò ha determinato un notevole disagio, nonostante il personale sia stato gentilissimo. La stanza era bene arredata, dotata di tutti i servizi necessari. Unico appunto: c'era scritto che gli asciugamani vengono cambiati ogni 3gg, salvo particolari richieste: bene per l'ambiente, un po' meno per i turisti ad Agosto. Dal balcone si può apprezzare un bellissimo panorama su Taormina e Giardini Naxos. Buonissima la colazione offerta presso il bar del check in. Consigliato se si viaggia leggeri e si vuol visitare Taormina. Sconsigliato se ci sono difficoltà a trasportare i bagagli (dal parcheggio a pagamento alla piazza c'è una scalinata).

Un hôtel tout en hauteur avec une vue imprenable
La vue à Castelmola est splendide, toutefois il est difficile de s’y rendre. Difficulté largement compensée par un système d’autobus municipale efficace pour se rendre à Taormina. Le petit bar sur la piazza San’Antonio de Castelmola est bien agréable!

Great little hotel with fantastic sea views
Situated above Taormina (5min by car and a few more by a regular bus plus the option to walk away from streets), you have amazing views over the town below and the sea from your own balkcony. Castelmone (the mountain-top village where it is situated) is itself well worth a trip with its narrow streets and churches. Rooms are nice with en-suite bathroom and (in our case) two great baconies - one facing the sea and one the village.

Local fantástico, linda e única vista da sa cada, isolada mas ao mesmo tempo muito próxima de Taormina, trecho de ônibus com emoção e linda vista.Ficaria de novo lá. O hotel tem restaurante, pizzaria e café, mas mesmo sendo muita pequena e charmoso, Castelmola oferece outras opções de alimentação principalmente a noite. ...mas vc terá muitas outras outras durante o dia na charmosa Taormina... não deixe de ir a isola bella e fazer descida a pé até Taormina se tiver boa condição física. ...retorno de ônibus.. lindíssimo tudo lá! !

Just a shame the manager wasn't a bit more welcoming - a little bit of information on arrival would have been appreciated and we would have felt more likely to eat in the restaurant! Eine Lage, die nicht übertroffen werden kann.
Unser Hotel ist in der sehr schönen und geschichtsträchtigen Ortschaft Castellmola. Castellmola liegt oberhalb von Taormina, gute Busanbindung nach Taormina aber auch zu Fuß kein Problem. Busfahren zwischen Castelmolla und Taormina unvergesslich und aufgrund der kurvereichen und engen Strassen ein Erlebnis. Taormina ist halt eine sehr schöne und interessante Stadt in allen Belangen, dort ist wirklich einiges zu sehen. Eine Operaufführung in dem alten grichisch/römischen Theater sollte man nicht rauslassen. Es gibt auch schöne und gute Strände dirtekt unterhalb von Taormina aber auch in der Umgebung. Ein Besuch der Alcantaraschlucht ist lohnenswert, im Sommer kann die Schlucht in Badehose erkundet werden. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen!

The village itself was absolutely gorgeous and the quaintness of staying on a mountaintop overlooking the Mediterranean was an awesome experience. Window overlooking the sea was worth all of the stairs we had to take.

Grandiose Aussicht!
Die Unterkunft ist auf dem höchsten Punkt über Taormina gelegen und bietet einen grandiosen Ausblick auf die Stadt. Die Unterkunt ist einfach aber ausreichend eingerichtet, der morgendliche Kaffee auf dem Balkon mit den zur Verfügung gestellten Mitteln sorgt für einen guten Start in den Tag. Leider wurden alle wichtigen Infos (Fernbedienung für TV und Klima, WLAN Passwort, Zeiten für das Frühstück) nur auf Nachfrage angegeben. Wo sich unser Zimmer befand wurde vorenthalten und wir mussten suchen.

Villa Regina - best point overlooking Taormina
During two night stay in Villa Regina, I had a chance to admire the most beautiful views possible. The Villa is located on the edge of Castelmola, overlooking Taormina and Mazzaro. The hotel itself is very decent, clean and very well decorated. AC is in every room, as well as a small refrigerator. Views from the balcony are a must. Just a point for other travellers - it is nearly impossible to walk from there to Taormina! Road is very.. long and can be quite dangerous for unsuspicious european traveller :) There is a shuttle bus from Castelmona to Taormina - and that is the best way to travel.

Castelmola /Magyar turista szemével/
Csodálatos a kilátás. Ár-érték arány kitűnő. Nem számoltak fel külön díjat, WIFI, klíma, széf, hűtőszekrény és napi takarításért. Minden nap tiszta törlközőt kaptunk. Nagyon barátságosak a Castelmolaiak. Vásárláskor kevesen fogadnak el bankkártyát, azt is csak nagyobb összegnél.

Lokalizacja znakomita, widok z pokoju hotelowego wyśmienity. Niestety nie można podjechac pod sam hotel, z walizkami trzeba pokonać kilkadziesiąt metrów plus schody w samym hotelu. Obsługa nie mówi po angielsku lub bardzo słabo. Pokoik bardzo maleńki, łazienka poza pokojem. Miejsce parkingowe bardzo ciężko upolować w najbliższej okolicy
