'A lot of thought went into creating Callahan’s Mountain Lodge. Upon entering the lady at the desk Michelle was so very helpful. As I was struggling with this odd heavy bag she readily offered to help me get everything to my room. There is a real wood burning fireplace (plenty of wood available in the hallway.)The room was very spacious with a king bed, large jacuzzi, table and chairs, coffee area with good sized frig and two chairs with a small table (convenient plug in floor) to use your iPad...

'This was our third time stay at this hotel, and the first time in a studio. It was so small that we didn’t even have the space to put the decorative pillows nor a closet to hang our jackets, not to mention the area to put our suitcase. 'I used to love staying here. While it is still a good place to stay, the breakfast isn't nearly as good as it used to be and the room I stayed in smelled like Febreeze had been used to cover up a pet smell. (I was assigned to a pet-friendly room because I booked on Expedia.) Overall, it was still fine. All of the staff people I interacted with were wonderful. Friendly, helpful, kind. '

'The hotel is well located to visit the Shakespeare festival and restaurants. Check in would be made easier by giving parking directions before are since the hotel is located in 3 different buildings on different roads. Breakfast was disappointing. There was no fresh fruit. Pork with no other meat options was served. The grounds are nice and the check in was easy, the bed was comfortable.'
