Een ouder hotel en toch heel modern ogend. Zeer goed onderhouden. Minpunt is dat de parkeergarage 400 meter verder bij een ander hotel is ondergebracht en dat je tussendoor niet meer bij de auto kan komen.

Hotel ligt heel gunstig. Alleen kamers zijn te klein en kleine en harde bedden. Niet geschicht voor mensen met rugklachten.

We enjoyed our stay and mostly the location and view. The rooms are a little dated and small but were fine. The staff treated us very well.

We couldnt eat breakfast because all the chairs were extremely dirty. We coil t find a clean one to sit on. They were discussing. There was no one to help you. Guys were looking when we try to carry our luggage. The best part of this hotel is there was a short guy who helped our luggage for the first time. After him , all other guys were not helpfull or attentive to customers. We told them we could not find a clean chair , he was talking very bothered. He didnt care. He was upset. Ladies in consieridge they all were very helpful. Hotel is old. Filty. The water pressure is low to take a shower.

Pros- Very good location for boats to other towns on lake. Good breakfast included in our deal. Staff were very pleasant. Cons Very expensive for a hotel that needs updating ; we were aware that the hotel was traditional in style but a modernisation of some aspects is needed. Inefficient air con; very hot in room and we were told as the weather had been cool the setting had been changed to heating across all the rooms, so no individual option. We had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the side of Mc Donalds, so it was quite noisy.....as we had the window open due to the Aircon issue . Poor lighting in the room- side lights by the bed and 1 table lamp only .

Thoroughly enjoyable stay, fantastic location, friendly staff room with a balcony was great and the view was stunning Hotel was spotless, would definitely revisit. I missed a kettle in the room though, a cuppa on the balcony would have been nice

The building doesn't have sound proofing. If you're staying in the 1st floor you will hear every single thing even the people preparing breakfast in the morning. The beds are really hard and I wish they have a better quality bed sheets. The location is great, convenient if you like to shop and it is so close to the port to take a ferry to get anywhere in Lake Como.

Lake view room had almost no view of lake. Room was noisy, possiby downstairs catering fridges all night long, limited sound insulation meant could also hear neighbour guests using facilities late into night. No facilities at breakfast to get drinkable tea with Luke warm flasks of tepid water.no balcony. Bath produced brown water and shower poor and could not hold temperature. Bathroom fan was very noisy and intrusive. Bed mattress was old and lumpy. Major bus stop right outside with buses every few minutes. BUT all staff were excellent , room air conditioning excellent. Overall not at all what was expected.Way below standard. No hot drink facilities in room.

Have stayed at the Barchetta before. Good location just not as beautiful as some of the more iconic hotels...more business oriented. Clean and safe and easy access to ferry dock.
