'Friendly owner on site who showed us all the plants on his property. Allowed our kids to squeeze sugar cane and make cane juice one morning. Clean and easy property. '

'Loved the cabin and the setting. Clean and comfortable with amazing forest views. Getting checked in was a bit of a process. Have to call a property manager who drives out to the cabin to let you in. We arrived at check in time and waited almost an hour to be let into the cabin. Call well ahead of arrival time. Otherwise a good stay and a great value.'

'The location is close to notable eateries and waterfalls. It was clean and as described in the listing. Keep in mind that there is no air conditioning. It was hot in April, so I'm grateful the host supplied fans. There isn't enough hot water for a shower; the hot water runs out after a minute or two.'

'Federico was the perfect host. The accommodations was very nice and clean and spa like.The surrounding area was amazing. Breakfast and dinner was available and was very good. Staff were nice and very helpful. Close to Tarcoles Bridge and Carrara National Park. Great opportunity to see birds and monkeys.I would highly recommend. Also the host went above and beyond to assist. I would definitely go back.'

'If you are looking for a remote place to get away for a bit this is the place. Very basic, but all you need. Owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!'

'We love this house and location - it’s about an eight minute drive to get to downtown, which is close enough when you need some morning coffee, but far enough to be away from the fray of everything. The cottage was simple, but absolutely perfect for our needs. Three bedrooms with their own AC made for very comfortable evenings. The main area but no AC and did get warm, but spent very little time there. Anyway, time at the house we spent outside in the hammocks, pool, or rocking chairs, enjoying...

'Perfect cabin with wildlife all around you! The cabin was immaculate! The kitchen has everything you need, we went to the grocery store (5 mins walk from the cabin) bought food. Everything we did was a short drive from the cabin, Selvatura park, El Tigre waterfalls, and local Sodas. Miguel is very helpful anytime I called or texted- he answered immediately.'

'Lovely setting but on site owner(?) spoke no English only a child did, so difficult to check in and get things settled. No A/c or heat and it was at first hot then very cold later. Hard to sleep in the cold. No screens on windows or sliding doors. Futons to sleep on were dirty and smelly. Kitchen had very few items to make even coffee and breakfast. Would not recommend. Pretty far from Monteverde Biological Park. You can do better.'

'We stayed for eight days and immensely enjoyed the experience. We were glad to have a rental car, but you could walk to town if you wanted to, and we did several times. There are some good tourist businesses within a reasonable walk (Sloth trail, Coffee&Chocolate Tour, Pickleball court, Smokehouse restaurant, 2 other restaurants) and we used them all. Great birdwatching from the deck over breakfast. Nice air conditioning and on-site laundry made for a very comfortable time.'

'The house was everything you needed; cozy, quaint, stunning views, gorgeous landscaping and privacy. It accommodated everything we needed, which was surprising because we failed to realize there was no central air, and we have a ln 11 month old, but the area we were in stayed relatively cool, and even better at night (nice & cool) and they provided multiple fans to circulate the air. 'We had a fantastic stay at the Casa. The outdoor spaces were heavenly, and the bedrooms were nicely spaced out. We had everything we needed in the kitchen.
