Een leuk opgezet all-in resort wat kleinschalig oogt maar groots is opgezet. Het heeft alles van fijne restaurants, zwembad, strand, duikschool maar het fijnste is het zeer vriendelijke en enthousiaste team dat overal en altijd voor je klaar staat. Wij hebben genoten.

The staff is great and very friendly. Our room by the pool was clean and comfortable. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is becuase I would recommend that the lounge chairs and tables be cleaned daily.

This is a tropical oasis. The grounds are beautiful. This place has everything but a walk-in beach.(some rocks/coral) Lots of food options. Spacious and mostly clean rooms.(It's practically a jungle so some bugs are expected) I would certainly recommend it.

LIKES; 1) Resort very clean, nice, comfortable, relaxing. food choices endless. 2) The evening entertainment was very good when it was there. LOVED the Classice Rock cover band!!! Some nights it was not very clear what it was supposed to be. The app did not provide information. DISLIKES; 1) You have got to figure out a better way for guests to reserve beach chairs around the pool. The smarts knew to come early and put towels on their choice spot, then go out all day while no one sits there until they return later in the afternoon.

Friendly staff, great variety of food options, so many options for entertainment onsite, easy access to boats for snorkeling or diving. We chose to stay here per a friend’s recommendation and it was a great decision. Would definitely return.

Older resort. Abundant fauna and birds/animals. Small rooms with uncomfortable beds made for a less than average stay for the price. Food was five stars. Workers were pleasant, but not top notch service as with other resorts. Limited snorkel and busy boat load/unload area. Good shaded areas for laying on the beach.

This was the fourth time that we have stayed at Iberostar, and our third visit to Cozumel. It has always been paradise; we have always loved our time there. This visit was different. The odors (sewage) was almost unbearable. The smell turned paradise into a sewer. Additionally, my wife and I had upset stomach’s during our entire stay. Was it the food or something else, we are not sure? We must look for other other vacation options in the future. So disappointing and so sorry.

Place was great and the staff was amazing. Transportation to and from the airport was a breeze they have on site taxis right outside the resort which is $30USD for two people one way, the dining was great and also the breakfast and lunch buffet were both really good my wife and I had a great time, the entertainment was very vibrant and fun. For dinner you get 3 restaurant options our favorite was the Asian cuisine. We had a great time all 3 nights

Overall, I would rank this resort as 3 stars. It wasn’t terrible by any means, but I certainly wouldn’t rank it as a 5 or even 4 star resort. The food, entertainment, rooms, and pool were all just okay. I felt like it was a little odd there was only one pool given the size of the resort and it closed at 7. The food timing was a bit off, as well, and there would be times in the day where nothing was open. Also, there was a general lack of bars around the property. Again, all of these items didn’t necessarily ruin the trip, but also didn’t meet our expectations based on ratings and price point. Our main complaint was the smell — there was a horrendous sewage smell that was extremely prominent towards the front of the resort, but as the wind would change, you’d smell it all around the complex (including near one of the main restaurants, within the entertainment area, and even from our patio). The smell would also drift into our room from time to time, specifically overnight. I’m not sure if the smell was avoidable as I’m fairly positive it came from the treatment building for the resort. When the smell wouldn’t you, it was beyond words. We’ve been trying different resorts in Cancun and Cozumel over the every year for the past several, hoping to find the one that e truly love. I can say with certainty we will not visit this resort again.

Returning guests every 14 years and scuba divers, and were given a so-called “premium”room, and I don’t understand the labeling, because our room was definitely not premium, and it was the closest room to the lobby. It was almost like we were being punished for some reason. We always get rooms close to the Dive Shop or in close proximity but not this year and when we asked to swap a room, they said it wasn’t available. Our friends (2 rooms) are not divers, literally had rooms on top of the Dive Shop upper level upgraded rooms for the same price, with returning guest gifts in their room. We got nothing. Zilch. A kick in the pants. Won’t return.

It was a great layout with tons to do for big and little kids and adults alike. We liked the all inclusive nature of the resort but it also had a nice, smaller type feel as well.

The food was really good (no need to go to town), the place was clean, beautiful garden areas, fun flamingos, iguanas, peacocks and coati to watch. Great location for getting to the diving/snorkel areas right from the dock, and rooms were nice. The smell from the more eco friendly sanitation/sewer tanks was heavy at times when walking in certain areas. You get a bit used to it, and you can feel happy that this place is caring about the environment. Hopefully, the hotel can improve this with time. The room smelled perfectly fine and each room has an air purifier. The water from special filtration sites next the the bungalows is safe to drink and at all meals too. The hotel has a full diving/snorkel/diving school company on site. It was great not having to go elsewhere. We also had a blast taking the small catamaran out which is included with hotel plus ($6) Ecological entrance fee per person. Bring your own snorkel gear if possible as the hotel and the diving place does not rent them out to take off site. You can only use them while on a snorkel or diving tour. You don’t need fins to do other locations near the shore, but you could do more if you had them. Bring “reef safe sunscreen” with you. This is the only kind allowed in the ocean in this protected area. The sunscreen at the shop on site is $26 USD. We rented a scooter for two days to visit other areas to snorkel. Don’t ride the scooters on the nice “bicycle only” small streets that parallel the main road.

I wouldn't say this is a 5 star resort by any means. I liked our stay, but I don't think I could justify the price (at least over Spring Break) again. The grounds were nice and the staff was mostly friendly. You could tell some of them were burnt out, probably due to it being the end of Spring break season. The food wasn't fine for an all inclusive, but not special. The rooms were small and the beds were not comfortable. Beach area and access to diving were great.

The hotel is pretty average overall. The bed and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. The specialty restaurants had the best food. There was an overwhelming sewage smell on the property most days. The beach is rocky with no shoreline entry - but you are able to get in the water via a staircase on the dock. The pools are nice, but can be noisy with activities and games throughout the day. There are plenty of hammocks scattered around which were wonderful. The best part was the dive center on property that allows you to head out on dives straight from the hotel.

The food and drink were great. However, this is definitely not a 5 star hotel. We had delayed check in for over an hour. Lighting malfunctions in the room, there was terrible sewage smells around the property and the electricity completely went out twice. We were only offered a $100 credit for a $1400 stay. Will not return.

Iberostare is quiet and one of the best resorts for diving. The reef is right off the resorts beach area. The staff was helpful and polite and the food options were plentiful. It's perfect for a dive vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The bungalow rooms are a bit smaller than the hotel rooms I am used to, but it was still very comfortable. Everything was clean. The beach is rocky, but if you go out on the pier, there are stairs into the water where it is better. We spent a lot of time at the pool, where they have a swim-up bar, as well as servers to bring you drinks. The staff was very friendly, and there were some fun activities scheduled that you could participate in if you wanted to. The buffets had a lot of delicious options. We also enjoyed the entertainment in the evening.
