'The property was very clean, nicely decorated, and stocked with some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Each room had its own AC split system so each person could adjust it to their liking and each bedroom had a noise machine which was fantastic to have as a traveler when you’re not used to strange outside noises. 10/10 will book again. Loved the decorations and picked up a lot of inspiration for my own little home.'

'I wanted a place in Texas close to the April 8 2024 total eclipse centerline with plenty of clear space to setup telescopes and photography gear to catch the event. Weather was iffy but we got lucky and had a wonderful eclipse-viewing experience! The old farmhouse is clean and very charming. The open kitchen and expandable dining room table can accommodate even larger groups, but for the few of us that stayed the week it was perfect for evening cards & board games. Beds were comfy and bathrooms...

'Well organized and stocked. Everything is labeled. Lots of space and activities. The kids enjoyed the Scavenger Hunt.it was not warm enough to use the pool; we’ll have to return in a warmer season! We enjoyed our family together time in this lovely setting.'

'We booked this for our church men's retreat, we had a great time fishing and cooking out, doing man stuff. The house was great, lots of space, great outside space, horse shoe pit, huge fire pit, etc. Its hard to find a place that a large group can stay. The owners were super nice people. There is a fishing guide service right behind the house and and swimming area as well.'

'Hico is a pleasant town and makes a convenient home base for exploring this less well known area of Texas. The kitchen was very well stocked and plenty of blankets etc. No grill, which was a little disappointing. Be aware that one of the bedrooms is reached through a bathroom which has a door that doesn't quite close'
