I do NOT recommend this property. You have to call long distance to just get your key and have to remove your shoes to go to your room. The walls are paper thin; we did not sleep at all with crying baby & door slamming. The breakfast area is cramped; we were too uncomfortable to eat there. We were promised a partial refund due to the inconveniences and the fact we did not even eat there as the breakfast is built into the price. We were told to contact expedia. We did this and they rudely hung up on the expedia agent. As such, no compensation, no sleep and dirty socks from the repulsive Orchy Bank House. As well, there is a terrible smell in the property.

Beautiful house with a lovely property! The hostess was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast in the morning was delicious as well!

Excellent B&B
Close to Gencoe and Oban and great nature in general. Friendly hosts, fantastic breakfast, great room and living room...just excellent in all matters. Only be aware that getting to a dinner restaurant requieres a 20-30 min drive. We will definitely be back!

An excellent venue near Lock Awe
Our host gave us a quick tour of the house and showed us our room. The room and bathroom were both spotless. There is a lovely spacious lounge with TV and additional tea making facilities. Our pre-ordered breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented. Our host gave us useful advice on where we could eat and suggestions on local places of interest.

Near perfect
This is an excellent little guesthouse. Most of the rooms are spacious and well thought out. There is also a large communal living room to relax in, which will be great for families. The breakfast was really tasty, especially the homemade rosti/hash brown. The family running the place are really friendly and helpful. We left feeling like we'd made friends. There is also some morning entertainment with the feeding of the ducks. :-)

The inn is lovely. The renovation/ conversion was just completed last year so everything is fresh and new. The innkeepers are gracious and accommodating. Also the surroundings are truly stunning.

Property in beautiful surroundings - quiet and restful. Every imaginable facility provided for a luxurious stay. Orchy House renovated to perfection. Hosts friendly and accommodating.

Really nice B&B, with a few tweaks would be a 5
Tricky one as I wanted to give a 5 as owners were lovely and lots are done well but missed a few minor details. Start with positives: room was very comfy and very clean. Owners are really friendly and accommodating. Great location. Food was yummy. A few minor points (not massive negatives): Bathroom was across the hallway, which wasn’t a problem, but feel it probably should be clearly advertised on booking. They have an excellent concept for breakfast menu to avoid wastage and let you pick items you want, but then my order was wrong (still yummy).

Hi Scott, Thank you for your kind review. On the booking website Sycamore is advertised as a twin room with private bathroom. I am sorry if this wasn't clear. As to the breakfast, I can only apologise if you were served the incorrect dish, but I am pleased to know it was still yummy!
