The house is adorable, right next to the park entrance, perfectly distributed for three couples, fully equipped (though dishwasher did not work). We loved it.

Absolutely fantastic. The log cabin was super clean. The isolated location outside Denali was perfect. Although the gas fireplaces were not working, the host apologized and offered a small refund. (btw, still waiting for what we were offered.) Thanks.

We had a great stay! It was very comfortable and cozy! We liked Panorama pizza down the street. We got a guided tour from Traverse Alaska and our guide was awesome! We recommend staying at the cabin.

Quaint place close to Denali
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and furnished and offered a rustic experience with all comforts. Also conveniently located to Denali National Park. Kelly was very responsive and even came in person to answer some questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect home at Denali
We absolutely loved this cabin and wished we had planned 1 more day in Denali. The cabin is spotless, so spacious and relaxing. All the comforts of home are there and you are so close to Denali adventures. We recommend the flight seeing tour, the bus tour and at least 1 hike. Then a relaxing evening watching the planes from the cabin. Lovely stay and our hosts were so helpful.

Wow! What a great cabin and great location for daily adventures in Denali National Park. Had a very relaxing time and enjoyed watching the occasional airplane take off and land. Just a few minutes away from Denali. Highly recommend.

Perfect getaway near Denali!
My husband, one year old daughter, and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was perfect!! Beautiful space, kitchen to cook up our meals and laundry was everything we needed and more.

Log Cabin in Denali
From the time we walked in we felt like we were stepping into the Alaska mountain back country. It was a great location so close to Denali, but made us feel like we were in our own back cabin. The cabin was super clean, wonderfully decorated and had all the supplies we needed. Although we didn't barbecue, the set up was nice to bbq outside. Next time we will take an evening to eat outdoors. It was fun watching the planes taking off right outside our door. Beds were comfortable and the living room was just right to sit and visit at the end of the day. Highly recommend!

Makes you feel like you are in Alaska!
Awesome house for the family. I was extremely interesting to see the planes land and take off. McKinley Creekside Cafe and Panorama Pizza are just down the road and have great food and service. The chocolate chip cookies and muffins are amazing at the Cafe. House was perfectly set up and clean. Thank you!

This home was beautiful and absolutely perfect for our family of 5. Pictures and listing are very accurate. Pack & play and high chair provided were wonderful. Our kids (8, 4, 1 1/2) loved playing outside and watching all the planes. Home is less than 10 minutes from Denali park entrance. The owner’s recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the area were spot on! The rest of our group rented an in-law suite in Healy and our accommodations were far superior. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Charming, comfy log cabin - private but just 8 mi S of park
Our 86 yr old mom and we 2 daughters really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful pine cabin with lovely wood details (an entire tree trunk!) inside. Kelly was a great, responsive host, and our being located on an airstrip was a blast (without being noisy). It was a great choice for us.

We didn’t want to leave!
We enjoyed our time in and around Denali and this cozy place was the perfect spot to call home. Very comfortable, clean and relaxing. From *our home we had quick access to white water rafting, hiking, ATV trail riding, restaurants, coffee shops a road trip to Fairbanks AND a fun time watching airplanes takeoff/land. We enjoyed all this while also having peace and tranquility. We are a family of 5 (18+) and had plenty of space (our daughter slept in the mini cabin :) Thank you to our hosts Cheryl and Kelly for helping make our trip to Alaska amazing. You were both responsive and helpful. Much appreciated.

Darling cabin in Denali
We loved the quaint cabin, near the entrance to Denali Park, just a short drive. The cabin was clean and decorated in north woods decor. Great communication with the owners. We felt at home there.

First time to Denali
Loved the log cabin. Beds were comfy. Location was convenient but also somewhat secluded. Having grown up around planes it was a bit nostalgic to watch them take off or land. Very happy with it!

VRBO close to Denali National Park
We loved the cozy cabin and the owners were so helpful in making our stay comfortable. With Covid-19 out there, we like the VRBO experience for safety and privacy. The airstrip next to it was awesome. Any noise was exciting as we would run to the window to watch the planes. Nights were quite. Just wonderful.

Denali getaway
This property was perfect for us! It is right on the airstrip for Denali Air and other private planes. We enjoyed watch 2 or 3 twin engine Navajo planes taking off and landing every two hours. It's not like the noise keeps up up because trips are in daylight. All 3 sleeping areas are great and as described. Kitchen and family room were perfect and well stocked. BEST of all the Hosts are the BEST! Highly recommend this property.

Good location for Denali visit
Conveniently located to Denali National and State parks and to the Denali highway. There are several restaurants in the area so we were able to eat out in addition to preparing food at the property. The house was as described and was a good base for our family of four adults to hike and explore from. We would stay here again on subsequent visits.

Very Close to Denali
Key reason we picked this place was the proximity to Denali. There really aren't many places nearby. We went to Denali 3 days in a row to hike trials, so it really helped. While we were at home we did see several small planes take off which was cool. We all enjoyed the feeling of being in a log cabin with unique features - fox pelts, moose antlers, stairs. Having a washer/dryer was also convenient. There wasn't a lot of hot water, so we took really quick showers, but we new water and hot water would be limited. Even though the property is several acres, there is a lot of asphalt. Not a problem for us though because we were in Denali. Overall a great place to stay.

James, We’re glad you enjoyed your trip & hope to see you again. As you mentioned, we are the closest VRBO to Denali National Park and the hiking is phenomenal. It is on a private runway that Denali Air Service operates out of and flys approximately 6 times per day with up to 2-3 flights every two hours. Several of our guests found it to be so cool that they took the opportunity to book a trip & walk down the runway to catch their flight. The hot water heater is a Rinnai hot water heater that will not run out of hot water. It is on demand. The asphalt that you are talking about is recycled asphalt pavement(RAP)that keeps the dust down & we were able to grind asphalt to produce a product and place it in a manner that wouldn’t be wasteful. Due to the arid conditions in Denali, we also tried to utilize this material for fire control while providing a clean environment and providing a place for our guests to have a camp fire and also providing mosquito control which proved to be invaluable. Free entertainment for hours close to Denali.
Good location in a cozy cabin. Watched the planes take off and land almost everyday which provided entertainment for hours. Even coerced a flight up to see Denali for my Dad and I. Comfortable and clean accomodations. Enjoyed meeting the owners around the fire pit, They also responded to all questions promptly. Highly recommend for your Denali adventures if you have your own vehicle!

Perfect Ending for an Alaskan Adventure
Perfect ending to our 3 sisters +2 husband's Alaska adventure. I didn't hurt that Denali decided to show herself through the showers a few times The kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfy, seating was good. We had such a wonderful time with each other we didn't try the electronics, ex wifi.

Perfect location near Delani!
We absolutely love our stay at this cabin. It’s only a few minutes away from Delani National Park. It sits by an airstrip and we loved watching the planes fly out! We booked a last minute tour with Denali Air and it was the highlight of our stay! The Cabin is cleaned and well stocked. Communication with the owners was easy. Perfect Alaskan family get-away!
This cabin home was the perfect backdrop for our stay while we were in the area for 3 nights. We traveled to Alaska with our 3 grown children. (Son, daughter-in-law and daughter). Each of us had our own room. The cabin was beautifully appointed with everything we needed. After a long day of travel, we opted to eat in the first night. This place had everything we needed to prepare our meal. Beds were comfortable, the place was very clean, and the owners gave us lots of great information about the surrounding area(groceries, restaurants etc.). Outstanding home centrally located
We had a wonderful time staying at this McKinley Park home. It was very clean and had almost every amenity you can imagine. It also was quick and easy to get to the Denali National Park entrance (10-minute drive) and other points of interest. Best of all, it was located right on an airstrip and watching the planes take off and land was thrilling for us all. We even were inspired to take a flightseeing flight to Mount Denali as a result! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
