I would like to give you and future guests some updates made since your stay: 1. All six dining table chairs have been replaced with new, solid wood chairs. 2. The living room, dining room, and upstairs seating area rugs have been replaced. Updated photos to be shared soon on the website. 3. We have updated some of the bedding, with additional options available in the closet. 4. The grill is being prepared for the upcoming season. It is generally not intended for use during colder and windy months. Should you wish to use the grill before May, arrangements must be made in advance. Please note that the grill, stored outside during the winter, requires a thorough cleaning before use in warmer weather. Cleaning it while still hot right after use greatly assists the next guests. Further notes for reference: I. Well-behaved and trained dogs are welcome. Our cleaning crew will do their best to remove any pet hair, and your cooperation and pet details are much appreciated. II. Should you notice any damage or cleaning issues, please report them upon check-in rather than after your stay. Addressing these issues involves ordering, replacing, or repairing items, which takes time. Cleanliness concerns need to be communicated to the cleaning crew immediately. III. We supply essential toiletries, including bathroom tissue, paper towels, liquid hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips, hand sanitizers, and a hairdryer. We also have a First Aid Kit at the house. If these are running low or you have specific needs, please let me know promptly.

Here are some notes and updates for future reference: (0) As mentioned in the notes, to close and lock Andersen door to the beach, the door handle needs to be lifted upwards and then turn the knob above the handle. Please feel free to contact me anytime if you encounter any issues. I am so sorry that you had to walk around the house to enjoy the back deck facing the ocean. If something is inconvenient or unintuitive, please call or text me. (1) Please let me know if anything is missing as soon as possible and don’t wait after your departure. The window in the master bedroom, three windows near the breakfast area, and two windows near the upstairs sitting room have been replaced. (2) There are spare lightbulbs in the kitchen closet. Please let me know if you could not find them. (3) To turn on the shower in the ensuite of the master bedroom, you must pull the handle to start and turn the handle to adjust the water temperature. (4) Furniture in the house will be changed as needed and from time to time. Please let me know any damages as soon as possible after checking in. (5) Pictures are updated when significant changes are made in furniture and appliances, or and when guests send me their favorite ones. Please review carefully and ask any questions before booking.

Thanks for the review, I really appreciate your feedback. I would like to take this opportunity to mention a few things for future reference: 1. While the air conditioning is running, it is best to leave all doors and windows closed in order to reduce humidity and condensation. This is crucial for an oceanfront house next to the beach because it keeps the moisture out. I can be reached by phone anytime if you have difficulty to close or operate the Andersen windows and doors. 2. The built-in dehumidifier is inside a storage room. It is best to leave the door of the storage room open so that it reduces the humidity for the rest of the basement. Again, it is best to leave doors and windows closed upstairs, since the humidity is heavier and tends to go to the lower parts of the house. 3. The downstairs bedroom windows have two layers of curtains, and can be adjusted accordingly if you would like more light. In addition to the table lamps, there are ceiling and wall lights. Their switches are behind the door when the door is open. 4. The sleeping couches/sofa on the first floor will be removed as soon as it is safe for movers to come in (we have held off on moving these furniture items since we are prioritizing social distancing and minimizing outside interaction with the house). 5. Make sure to never leave the fire pit unattended and extinguish it promptly when no one is using it.
