Grass near the building full of pet feces. On checking the tv would not turn on. After a cord was changed, it would not turn off so I turned the volume down and used it as a night light. No tv guide was supplied. Light between the beds didn’t work, but wasn’t replaced until the second day. No cleaning done after the first day.

I've been staying in motels/hotels for my 45 years of construction. Its tied with the worst room I've ever rented. Went to turn on TV no remote, went to throw soap wrapper and pop bottle in garbage, no garbage can anywhere in room. Was going to put pop and milk in fridge but was so dirty and stunk that I pup milk outside room. Q-Tip's, Kleenex, bottle caps, assorted garbage under edges of bed.(puppy had fun) . Dog spoop all over outside where people walked their dogs. No outside garbage cans to place poop bags. Never ever again. Only reason this time was I was meeting a friend who came from another state for fishing derby and this motel was all that was left. Brad

Dirtiest room in all my years in Devils Lake
Bathroom and room floor was so dirty. After walking for a little bit my kids and my feet under were as if we were walking outside bare feet. The bathtub was awfully dirty my kids were afraid to go in to bathe. The toilet won't flush the first time. The TV did not work. The bed sheet and cover were old and scratchy. This is probably the first hotel room that i see is this dirty of all the years I've been to Devils Lake.

There was hair in the bedding not just a few but quite a bit. Also the carpet was sticky and red stuff in the tub. I asked for a different room and was told I could not be moved. I asked him if they can c9me an change the bedding and clean the tub but also told no he could not do that.

Mrs. Angie, When you ask me to change room we didn't have any room at 1.30am. Due to Rain every body booking the room. Also I have told you that since I don't have extra room I can refund or cxl your room. You can find room some place else. At 1.30am front desk clerk can't go to room to clean.

I will be very honest we had already prepared ourselves ahead of time that this place was not going to be perfect by any means but there are few things we noticed during our stay that could be improved. The staff was friendly however it would have been nice if they didn’t play loud music during their time where they are going to each room to do their cleaning and restocking. A few guests were still resting or sleeping so didn’t get much rest from that. Bathroom door did not closed at all as it’s tilted a bit causing the door to not be able to shut. Rooms don’t look to be vacuumed for quite some time as there was a lot of things u can still see on the floor especially along the side of the beds. Unsure how often they wash their beds sheets. Of course everyone complains about no hot water during showers. Ours was ok so no complain there. Some small holes and cracks in the walls and wires hanging out in the open. For safety reasons they should probably get that fixed.

Booked a king room, First room sent to had 2 doubles. Then went back to desk and next room was a king bed but hadn’t even been cleaned. Blankets and pillows on the floor and garbage on the counters. Third too had a king but mold in the bathroom, dirty floors, heater rattles so bad and was almost too noisy to use.

Not much to like. First room, no hot water in shower. Heater blows into curtains. Floor very cold . Smoke detector hanging by it's wires. Beds are very firm. Lots of ice build up on sidewalk and parking lot. Second room, sink had whiskers from some one shaving in it.

Better off sleeping in your car.
I will never stay here again. Not clean, garbage on the bed, Food in the refrigerator. No continental breakfast, as advertised, The air conditioner unit was inside the bathroom. The smell of the place reminded me of that 50 year old cologne in the bottle shaped like a truck my grandpa kept for decoration. Made my eyes burn.

This hotel was horrible. There was no hot water, the bathroom was small and not very clean, and it just looked cruddy. This hotel 9s way overpriced for the condition that it's in. Glad it was only a 1 night stay.

Rodeway Inn is a little run-down. It was a last minute booking on my end, so I was just going for a cheaper option out of the few that I had for the weekend. The air conditioner leaked in the room and the TV didn't work at first, but eventually I got it working. WiFi also didn't reach the room I was in very well.

First and last time
The room was very dirty, with crumbs and dirt on the floors and they were sticky. Outdated decor throughout. No waste basket, no Tv remote, no chairs. Mini fridge was not cold, single coffee maker but no coffee, just packets with cream and sugar. Only one light worked in the room. Bed was old and hard, same with the pillows, very flat like they had been used for a very long time already. The only thing that worked good was the AC but it was loud.

Horrible place
This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed! Dirty, dilapidated the only thing missing is bed bugs. Cigarette butts everywhere, dead bugs and hair in the dirty bathroom. Asked for a room change and although a little better, bad is bad!

This place could use an entire overhaul. Smoking is allowed to close to the building. Holes in the walls. Definitely needs an upgrade. It was our last resource for our visit to the area.

This motel is adequate if you just need a place to sleep and shower. The manager is very nice and accommodating. The property is old and run down. But, he tries to make your stay pleasant.

You get under what you pay for
Not so good but you get what you pay for. There was baby toys under the beds and on the floor the plug in covers were missing coaxial cable mount ripped out of the wall the shower didn’t even get hot and the heat was cranked to max and it just barely got to 68 in room.

No luxuries. No problema.
For a roadside motel, the stay was fine. The bed was okay, the pillows were okay; nothing stellar, but nothing to complain about. The styling was out of date, but since I was sleeping most of the time I was there, I didnt care. The manager was polite and helpful. The location was close to a very good restaurant and other services.

The room I was in was clean except for mold in tub/shower area. The breakfast was quite skimpy with toast & mini muffins (left over from the day before). Cereal but no milk.

Old and rundown, should be 50 buck a room. Contintal breakfast was a joke. Buddy got shocked from loose wire In Light switch, mold and dust came shooting out of heater .

Hotel shows its age.
The staff did not seem ready for us, we were checking in late around 7:00 PM. The refrigerator smelled like rotten fish and was unusable, we could not open it even, as it would make the room smell and we did not want to go through the hassel of getting a different room and moving our stuff since it was so late.

A Good Deal
Devil's Lake was the closest place we could find a room for our convention in Rugby (60 miles West). The hotel was fine for what we needed. Because of the time of year. We didn't get to see much of the local area. However, the hotel is centered in the tourist area, and we got a terrific deal on the price.

It was just right for us. Got a ground floor room which made it handy unloading our hunting gear. It was near to where we hunted. Close to restaurants for dining in the evening. We only stayed there to sleep and went hunting the day.
