'The view iwas perfect as it is shown on the photos and even better. The house however was not fully equiped. Although the description told us that there is room for four persons, actually there is room for only two persons. There is only one bed for two, and there is one couch for one person. The fourth person has to sleep is on a airbed (which you have to bring on your own!). Moreover, there was no WIFI / Wlan as described. Therefor the house did not meet our expectations. 'My husband, son and daughter-in-law stayed in this delightful apartment in mid-May. We loved Varenna and the location of the apartment, so close to shops/cafes and sights. The Apartment was HUGE in every respect. Beds/bedding great. Very clean. The host was very generous to provide coffee, bottled waters, juice, a few groceries and snacks. 'This on a very steep hill next to a restaurant. The little village is very cute and you feel part of the community. It is fun to walk around the paths between the homes and explore. Everything is on a hill so be prepared to walk an incline coming or going. As for the home, the grounds are beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking. 'On the positive side Villa Paola has a wonderful view of Lake Como and is very private. Unfortunately, there are too many things wrong with the house and the local management company to recommend it. When we arrived, the lawn was very overgrown, the outdoor furniture was a mess and there was no umbrella as pictured on the website.
