This used ro be a nice hotel. Used to be. Nearly everything is up fir renewal. The wifi coverage is next to non-ewisting in the rooms. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. The restaurant is an absolute no go. There us only a very small slection and about a third if the dushes were not available. Thz service in the restaurantis meduocre and I had to ask for the bill 3 times. They guve the impression nit to care. The rate is acceptable if you settle for all the above... You are very close to Loch Lomond which is fantastic

Overall nice hotel, room had enough space. Bathroom bit outdated but clean. Unfortunately the using of water in our or the next room was quite noisy.

Great hotel with access to Loch Lomond
Great hotel that is nicely situated in the South East of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs national park. The staff is very friendly and helpful, dinner is tasty and the room is all that can be expected of it. Recommended!

Leuk hotel in mooie omgeving om te wandelen. Kamers gemoderniseerd, wel klein en wifi werkte niet in kamer. Verrassend groot zwembad en fitnessmogelijkheden. Ontbijt en diner prima verzorgd. Heel gastvrij en vriendelijke medewerkers.

Een leuk hotel, vlakbij het West Highland Path.
Ik heb hier vooral heel lekker geslapen na een dag van 20 km wandelen en vroeg op. Vriendelijk personeel. Kamer was oud, maar verder op orde. Het bed was uitstekend!

Vooral een goede spa die open is tot 21:30 uur. Zakenhotel dus veel zakenmensen. .Alles aanwezig wat je nodig heb, alleen een beetje problemen gehad met internet verbinding die werkte niet op een tablet, je heb dan windows xp nodig, zou dus wel moeten functioneren met een laptop. Ligging is heel centraal van hieruit kan je diverse uitstapjes en wandelingen maken. Diverse restaurants in de buurt. Vriendelijke personeel.

Mooie kamer, veel faciliteiten. Badkamer erg netjes en ruim. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid en het kleine dorp is dichtbij (loopafstand) Zwembad met bubbelbad en sauna is erg fjn. Persoon bij zwembad niet heel erg vriendelijk.

Het hotel was wat aankleding betreft wat uit de tijd. Maar alles was prima verzorgd, schoon en heel. Het zwembad en bijbehorende wellnes was heerlijk en ook heel schoon. De service was echt goed.

Prachtige omgeving maar verouderd hotel
Het hotel is gelegen in een prachtige omgeving, maar heeft dringend een opknapbeurt nodig. In de heel kleine kamer was alles voorzien en de lakens proper. De badkamer netjes, maar zoals alles in het hotel dringend aan renovatie toe. Het eten in het hotel was in orde. Het ontbijtbuffet redelijk uitgebreid. Daar we er maar één nacht verbleven was het over het algemeen genomen ok, maar ik betwijfel het of het vandaag de dag nog 3 sterren waard is.

non accommodating in finding a table for two for dinner at 1800. and was told to come back at 2000. At the time of the enquiry the dining room was completely empty.. No attempt apologise or come up with an option and 2000 for a meal was too late for us

Looked like room hadn’t been used for a while as dead spider in bath. Also there were only 2 coffee sachets there which turned out to be decaf so had not been topped up since previous guests had stayed. Bedding and towels were clean and fine but carpet was filthy, so bad that I had to wear shoes as I’d forgotten to take slippers. Stayed 2 nights and when we came back into the room after being out during the day housekeeping had topped up coffee, hot chocolate sachets etc and had just pulled the duvet up towards pillows but not sorted it properly nor was the room hoovered. Very disappointing.

Honest review of our visit
Really nice hotel, however did look as if it was understaffed. We did check in later than expected and was surprised no room service was on offer. Room was clean and tidy as expected

Lovely break
We love this hotel and stay regularly throughout, staff are great, rooms comfortable and the leisure facilities are brilliant. My only criticism is the breakfast, pretty terrible given how great eveything else is. Not worth the money, would highly recommend skoosh across the road - so much cheaper and amazing food.

A old building with charm, but outside needs a paint, the windows were rotten. We had a lovely bathroom, but the chocolate brown paint in bedroom was awful. The bed was very comfy and facilities in room very good, we ignored the broken bathroom window, we never ate food at the hotel but had a drink, found the on tap cocktails very overpriced, not even a bit of fruit or a straw.

Staff missing for 5 minutes at check in. Booked twin room, given a double, beds split on request but sheets too small for bed so didn’t reach under pillows, but comfortable mattresses. Waited an hour and a quarter from ordering for dinner to be served, although waitress mistakenly tried to serve cheese and biscuits before dinner. Wrong drink served, rectified then duplicate drink brought to table. Sink in bathroom cracked. Dining room staff chaotic but remained polite and pleasant despite having to deal with frustrated diners

Hotel in transitional period having been taken over. Outside needs a bit of freshening up but our bedroom (grandparents and child) was clean and beds very comfortable. Like many old Scottish hotels rooms are on varying corridor levels and not suitable for disabled although they may be able to accommodate somewhere. Breakfast was extra although some sites say pay £10, but I was advised by hotel that price was for room only, meals in addition. Breakfast was adequate , evening meal fine and staff very pleasant. Couple of minor problems were fixed very quickly with apologies . Enjoyed our stay.
