'I came up for a "Dad's Weekend" with my VT kid. I first checked hotels and because it was the VT spring game and parents weekend, prices were outrageously high. I checked VRBO and this property came up. It was much more reasonably priced, had more space than I needed, and parking was convenient. The neighborhood isn't anything fancy, but I didn't go there to walk around Christiansburg, plus the 15min drive to VT is easy. All-in-all, much better than a hotel room. Would definitely stay there...

'We stayed here for VT graduation and could not have picked a better place. The lodge is wonderful- clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The view outside is gorgeous and there is so much to do. Our kids loved playing frisbee and feeding the goats and donkeys. Our grad loved the Hokie decor, and the grandparents loved the beauty, peace, and quiet. We are already makign plans to come back.'

'The was my first time staying at a VRBO and this one was more than I expected. There was a bottle of wine, snacks & fully stocked kitchen. There were plenty of pillows and blankets for everyone to have. The place was clean, and the area was very quiet. We were close to restaurants and shops. Wish we had more time to explore the town of Floyd. We definitely would stay there again!'

'In the downstairs area of the property owners’ home. It has a separate entrance at the rear of the home with no shared spaces with the property owners, other than the driveway. 'Serenity House worked well for our family during VT's spring 2024 graduation. The property is located on a quiet, no wake zone, knob of Claytor Lake. It was the perfect place for fishing and swimming. The home was appropriately advertised. Both the home and decking are older but clean and tidy.
