Prima verblijf, slaapkamer niet helemaal donker
Ik ben hier voor één nacht gebleven op een waarschijnlijk drukke dag, want het kostte me 77 euro voor een nachtje in een gedeelde kamer. Groot hostel - kans op andere reizigers ontmoeten is wel aanwezig maar niet gegarandeerd omdat de meeste mensen maar kort leken te blijven. De slaapkamer is niet helemaal donker. Er blijft blauw ledlicht aan. Voor mij persoonlijk was dit storend, dus ik raad je aan een gezichtsmasker mee te nemen als je in donkere kamers beter slaapt. Kluisjes makkelijk in te stellen met 4 cijferige code die je zelf bedenkt. Padlock dus niet nodig. Minpunt: na uitchecken kan je je bagage in een openbare ruimte achterlaten waar zomaar iedereen naar binnen kan glippen. Er zijn bier kluisjes (waarvoor je betaalt), maar die waren allemaal vol. Ik moest daarom mijn tas met laptop op hoop van zegen achterlaten. Gelukkig is hij niet gestolen.

Midden in het centrum
Het was een heel fijn verblijf. De kamer was netjes en groot genoeg, ze kwamen het ook schoonmaken. Het ontbijt was oké. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en wil je graag helpen.

Prima ligging, 15 min. lopen richting Temple bar. Personeel is vriendelijk en staat klaar om je te helpen. Ontbijt is goed geregeld. Kamers waren schoon en redelijk ruim. Ook heeft het hostel een gezellige lounge, eetkamer en balkon.

That night, we had two fire drill because one of the guest played with the red button and someone smoked in the toilet of the room. The bar was closed. There was only one staff member to manage all of this so I can only congratulate this person. It is usually better.

I was content with my stay. To learn the downtown area of Dublin as a first visit it was handy. The staff were great and helpful. I could do laundry. It was convenient for the bus tours I took and lots of shops around for snacks. Pubs were small and crowded in that area. But I had only popped in on a match day. Occasionally noisy but overall the mattress was comfortable. USB ports and reading light in my pod. A bit rougher area but I’m 60 and a solo traveller

great stay for lowkey or social solo travelers
I loved staying here - the location was excellent, the pods and en suite bathrooms were great (10 second limit on water each push notwithstanding, but you make it work), the common areas and activities made it so easy to make friends. I got coffee or a beer from the lounge area every day - it was so nice! Very sweet staff. I definitely recommend staying here especially if you're traveling solo in Dublin! You can make your stay whatever you want :)

There was no power socket in a pod. It could use only usb-A in a pod, which is out-dated. It needs to be replaced by usb-C, otherwise people cannot recharge their phones or other devices. Room cleaning was too early. They said room cleaning starts at 10am even though the checkout is 11am. So, you should be prepared by 10am. This totally doesn’t make sense. While they were cleaning, there was no room to pack my bag, so I had to ask the cleaning people to leave my room. The hostel should change the checkout time to be 10am. Except these two, everything was nice. It was quite a modern facility. Thanks to a curtain for each pod, privacy can be safely kept. A locker is given to each person.

Not coming back
Met with incredibly rude and judgemental female staff member who was more interested in the music playing than resolving the problem/explaining to me what the problem was (3rd party issue - she obstinately claimed the card declined despite my receipts). Her manager was very polite and helpful. Room was as expected, although 6-bed dorms have no sound insulation so don't expect to sleep much. Housekeeping also arrived 1h before checkout, so I hope they enjoyed watching me get ready to leave. I don't plan on coming back

I enjoyed the stay at this hostel. Located close to many restaurants and social activities. The pods were spacious and I love the secured locker. My best tip is to code the secured locker code nightly simply because in a shared room, you may not know who is looking. My only con is the timed showers and sinks. It is hard to wash your hands for even 10 seconds when it shuts off every 5 seconds. I would definitely stay here again even though it is a little pricey for a hostel. But you will get the space, cleanness, great customer service which is worth paying extra.

The staff and facilities were great. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, outgoing, and helpful. I stayed in the 12 mix room and it was great. I had a wonderful time and recommend this to anyone traveling to Dublin. It is so close to the tram and theres more than enough cabs to go around. Its a super location within walking distance of everything great in Dublin. Only complaint is that the showers run on the colder side so be prepared for a cold shower. They did warm up a little when lots were showering at the same time.

I stayed at Jacobs Inn to run the Dublin marathon. It was perfect for my stay. Everyone including staff and guests were polite and friendly. There was Live music in the bar area in the evening. The rooms are basic but clean. You get a code protected Large locker to store your suitcase and bags. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Très convenable
Les lieux sont propres mais il ne faut pas être claustrophobe pour dormir dans ces "boîtes". Une seule salle de bain pour 8, avec un problème d'évacuation de l'eau. Malgré tout, cela convient très bien pour une nuit.

Comfortable pods
I really liked having my own pod in the dorm. The dorm also had its own bathroom and I loved there there was a small light in the room that would illuminate when the bathroom was occupied so you didn't have to awkwardly knock to see if it was available (there was a larger bathroom down the hall available also). Friendly staff. Centrally located. I never felt unsafe in the area but I was aware that if I was out late or when I was heading out for my early bus to the airport that there were people hanging out in the area for no apparent reason, but I never had any problems.

Ha sido todo perfecto, un trato muy cercano y todo genial. Lo único que no me ha gustado es que había que pagar por la toalla, creo que la deberían de poner opcional si recogerla o no, pero no pagar por ella, y tampoco me ha gustado que la ducha fuera estática y no poderla mover, para por ejemplo, no mojarte el pelo. Por lo demás todo genial. Muy contenta con mi estancia allí. Si vuelvo, sin duda volveré a este hostal.
