Cozy get away
Came with daughter and grandson. There was some snow still left so my grandson had a great time playing in it! We played ball in the front yard where the snow had melted. Took a walk down the road and had some cozy time reading and watching movies Nice place for a weekend getaway for us Would recommend and would stay there again without a doubt.

Cozy cottage
We’ve been here several times now and really enjoy the retreat. It’s back far enough from the beaten path to be quiet, although there seems to be a little more road traffic than last year, but that could be due to several new homes being built nearby. We always see deer on the property and there’s lots to do nearby. Always a fun getaway!

Great place to stay, it has a big outside deck on three sides of the house, with a big sun room. Comfortable beds, everything we needed and more. Seen deer everyday, on a quiet road with very little traffic. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Out amongst the stars
We loved everything about this home, except for the spotty internet, but that is to be expected in the mountains! We had booked this to observe the meteor shower and to do some hiking. It was perfect for observing the night sky. We so appreciated the comfort of this home. It was immaculate with all the comforts of home. We only stayed two nights, wish it could have been longer. The directions to get there were clear, we had no issues. The instructions/house rules were also easy to understand and follow. I could go on but I will just say we had a great time and would love to book again.

The home is welcoming. I am picky about towels, sheets, smells and this home passed with flying colors. Water pressure in upstairs shower was awesome. We hiked in Loyalsock; gorgeous. One note... you either have to take trash or leave cash. We only had one small bag so we took it with us.

This was our third time staying at this little cottage, and we love coming here in the fall. It’s warm and cozy and we love the gas stove in the evenings. The hosts are happy to help with any questions or needs that arise. Enjoyed our stay!

Goldilocks house
It was relaxing and very comfortable, just what we needed to get away from life for a week! The owners were quick to respond to all of our needs. Beds were comfortable. Satellite TV and DVD player worked great. Wifi was spotty sometimes, but not a real problem. Loved the little gas fireplace, which was enough to warm up most of the first floor, so we didn't need to start the furnace. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit and grilling on the deck. Meals and just hanging out in the 3 seasons room was the best!

amazing weekend
house was perfect for our small family. plenty of space in and outside the house. owner recommended us a few places we checked out and loved! The only thing is the wifi was bad, and there was no service so it made it impossible for us to look up anything at the house, we had to drive a few miles away from the house to get service which was a little upsetting since we specifically checked if the property we rented had wifi access and it was listed as an amenity. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

This was our second visit and it won’t be our last. The home is beautifully situated in a secluded location and has all you need except yourselves and food. It was so nice to meet Kay this time around!

The all seasons room was awesome! Much nicer in person than in the pictures. Nice beds, enough space, enough towels and blankets and pillows. Highly recommend especially if you are hiking ricketts glen and works end. Very nice that there were maps there that we could check out. Tv dvd did not work

Great Get-a-way
This property was in a great location to the parks we were hiking. The house was very clean and well kept. The hosts were awesome to deal with. Loved the sunroom dining and great outdoor seating. Also really enjoyed the fire pit area. Only challenge was that the internet provided was spotty at best and weak. However, this was not a major problem. This is a great get-a-way home. I highly recommend it! Thank you so much John and Kay!

We found this loacation to be an excellant find. The available linens, towels and other essential needs were all a nice addition. Clean and roomy, house was well furnished. Everything was as described. Only problem was lack of working internet- but that was probably a good thing being on a vacation.

Fabulous!
What a wonderful place!! The home is extremely clean, situated in a gorgeous spot close to beautiful hiking trails, great views, etc. All we had to bring was groceries, clothes and ourselves - the house is very well equipped. Our host John was most helpful both times we had questions. We are already trying to find a time to come back!

This home is situated on a large, peaceful lot. The home was very clean. We were able to open windows and enjoy a refreshing breeze, however, there is air conditioning available. This three bedroom two bathroom property was comfortable and we found it to be very nice. We used the kitchen and the deck to enjoy our evening meals, and especially enjoyed the sunroom for our breakfasts!

Our return to the Endless Mts
We had a wonderful week at the Retreat. We vacationed in this area for many years but haven’t been here for a long while. It was so fun to revisit some of our favorite spots. We had 2 of our grandkids along and they enjoyed swimming in the Loyalsock. The Retreat was cozy and perfect. And clean - very important! We met Kay - she is very sweet, brought us a lovely bouquet of Peonies. Loved an early morning walk everyday down the road - lots of wildlife. We plan to return! Thank you!

My wife and I stayed here and utilized it as a base of operations as we explored Loyalsock Forest for a long weekend. In the future, if we're not camping, we'd come back here in a heartbeat.

Location and Comfort
What a wonderful place to stay if you are wanting to explore all the natural wonders in the area. We enjoyed having the fire going while we warmed up from all of our hikes which are many within 30 minutes. The home was very clean and had all the amenities we needed to relax and cook some meals. We are looking forward to our next visit to the area and will definitely be staying here! Big tip: Get Donuts at Mad Bakers down the road. Go early since they can sell out quickly!

Exactly what was on the label...
This was the perfect, quiet little cabin... clean quaint and plenty of space for the 4 of us! This exceeded my expectations (including the large amount of snow!!). The beds are quite firm so be prepared. Love that it is off the beaten path ❤️

This was probably the cleanest house I've stayed in, and I've rented a lot of houses. Tastefully furnished, well equipped kitchen, beautiful and quiet location yet easy access to town and surrounding hiking trails. We would like to come again when the snow is gone and we can do some real hiking.

The area is so peaceful and quiet. A great place to relax and unwind from the daily grind. The home is very clean, cozy, and ample supplies on hand, in case you forgot something. The daily deer visitors under the apple trees were fun to watch. We look forward to returning in the future.

I and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. Very clean.Very peaceful. The owners live near the house and were very helpful. Location is excellent. Less than 1/2 an hour from Worlds end park and Ricketts Glenn parks. Very good hiking options. We will go there again.

Get Away in the Endless Mountains
Loved staying at "The Retreat"! The property was very clean and the owner easy to deal with. It was convenient to World's End State Park and Rickett's Glen State Park, where we did some easy hiking. Also, visited Eagles Mere a quaint town close by. It was lovely. Also, enjoyed a real ice cream soda at the Jolly Trolley in Dushore PA.

Good option to get away
Spacious house for up to 6, plenty of tables for eating : inside, sunroom, and outside deck (this is key since you don't want to eat out right now). Plenty of outdoor space and fire pit as well. ~1/2 hr from Ricketts Glen, and even closer to World's End State Parks. Lots of recommendations for things to do and food provided by the owners. Downsides are the AC units couldn't keep up in the >90 deg weather, and small kitchen (but included plenty of staples and prep/cook ware).
