We are pleased to offer one of the nicest houses in town with one of the best views as well. I apologize that the yard was not up to your standards, or mine, frankly. In our small town, we have found a manager who is exceptional at cleaning and customer service, but she is not so confident in lawn care. We are accepting of the constructive criticism and working to train her in this area. We will also increase some of our amenities for guest comfort and enjoyment. Thank you, Wendy

Thank you for the review. We take feedback seriously and will make an effort to improve focus on the details like the coffee maker. We apologize that the house was cool. We intend to keep the heat off in the summers to keep the house cool for late afternoons. It is easier to heat it than to cool it. The house is excellently insulated so if the night was cool - as it often is - the house remains cool throughout the day. We are super glad that this house has an attic filled with blow in insulation and a large shade tree making the need for AC less of an issue considering the limited number of days above 75 degrees (although this number is increasing). It seems that you may not have known that you were a guest of the Blackfeet while staying in East Glacier. The history of Native Americans is important and the history of the Blackfeet is particularly fascinating, (especially their relationship with dogs). I understand how this may be new to our visitors but assure you that the neighborhood is extremely safe. As for not being able to spend time outside of the house, the entire yard is fenced, mostly with privacy fencing, so you should have been able to enjoy the wonderful yard, small porch and its couch and especially the view. None the less, we are certain that the time in the park and inside the house was comfortable and a great experience. Thank you, Wendy

Hello Rachel, It appears that you had a less than perfect experience on the east side of Glacier Park. I am happy to address a couple of the issues here. Firstly, the information about Going to the Sun Road was up to date when sent but, as mentioned in the initial communication, the reservation system is new and it is up to the traveler to keep up with the changing requirements. A URL was included to which you were directed and advised to keep up to date. On that note, the road was not open while you were here so this is null and void anyway. It also appears that you were unprepared about the isolated location of East Glacier Park and the knowledge that it is within the sovereign nation of the Blackfeet People whose history would be valuable knowledge to anyone. On that note, I do not have control of the current or historic state of the land around the house. I am quite surprised at your cleanliness issue as this house has limited clutter and is DEEP cleaned a number of times a year and our cleaning practices between guests are extensive - as mentioned by the previous reviews. We are also quite proud of the gardens and yard as this is an extremely harsh climate both summer and winter. Thanks, Wendy
