Dicht bij het centrum
Fijn hotel dicht bij het centrum. Helaas geen “ Engels” ontbijt. Als je pech hebt krijg je een kamer die voor disabled persons is voorbereid en je bent 1.89, breek je je rug bij de wastafel . Voor de rest prima verblijf.

Good hotel right in the center
Just about everything is good at the Motel one. Very friendly and proactive staff, good room, bathroom. Quiet place. Even have European wall-outlets in the room. Keep up the good work!

Het hotel was ideaal qua ligging. Lekker centraal.
Keurig, schoon hotel en qua ligging super centraal, vlakbij het Waverly station, waar ook de bus stopt vanaf het vliegveld. Alle bezienswaardigheden van Edinburgh zijn op wandelafstand. Om de hoek, op 20 passen van de voordeur van het hotel is een gezellige pub, de Guiltford Arms waar je ook lekker kan eten.

Good and comfy room, but disappointing breakfast
Clean and spacious rooms for a competitive price. No view for most rooms, but that doesn't affect the sleeping comfort. Double bed was actually two single beds moved together, so there was a noticeable gap in the middle. Unbeatable location in Edinburgh. Friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was quite bad though, especially if you consider the 9 pounds p.p. charge. Continental breakfast only (so the only warm thing were boiled eggs). I can blame myself for not asking if it was proper breakfast before paying for it. What I do blame the hotel for though is that they don't turn the high price into quality - cheapish meats and cheese served lukewarm (no system to keep it cool). I do hope they throw it out every day. Juices were also cardboard-quality at best, even the fruit tasted like it was canned. The croissants and cereals were good though. Strongly suggest to not have your breakfast here but go for one of the many amazing restaurants in the neighbourhood.

The hotel is located in the center of all the tourist attractions. It's very convenient to walk to places and there are many dining and relaxing options around.

Basic but quiet, safe and clean. Great location. Arrived 10am ( check in 3pm ) to see if we could leave luggage and were able to check in there & then. Unexpected but very pleasant.

We reserved a standard bed room a month in advance. We were instead given a room for the disabled (with all the alert wires hanging in the room and bathroom, a half open shower door), and were told that it was because they are fully booked (apparently they don't understand the meaning of a RESERVATION. The price charged was the same. - Toilet wouldn't flush well - you needed about an hour for the water tank to fill up enough to flush your waste. - Air conditioning seems to be controlled by the building owners and not the guests - you couldn't turn on the AC. They said when the weather warms up then they will allow use of the AC. Instead we were given a cheap electric fan and asked to open the window. - Bedsheets seemed dirty when we arrived. - Receptionist told us we had a great view out the window. It turned out to be blocked by building walls all around. - The only plus for this place is the location - right across Waverly Station.

Very convenient! Right behind Apple Store on Princes Street. Room was basic but comfortable, with great large bathroom. Bar is open 24/7 and the staff were nice .definitely stay again.

Small room for two people. No microwave or mini fridge so couldn’t keep drinks. No view and no bucket or anything to even get ice to try keep drinks cold. Doors just got painted so the smell was throughout the room and hotel. And zero bin in rooms which is weird. No bag in toilet bin.

Brilliant location. Extremely disappointed by the size/quality of room. Pictures do not match what you check in to. Staff were lovely and room was clean. Absolutely not worth the price we paid, if the location wasn’t so good we would have changed to a different hotel when seeing the room.

The reception staff were so welcoming and always had a smile for us. Room was good size with views over waverley station and along princes street. Ideal location for train and visiting all main landmarks. Nice quiet bar area. Would definitely stay again.

Property was exactly as expected. The location was great right next to Waverly station. The rooms were small but fine. Front desk staff were great. The small bar area in the main lobby was a nice amenity with a larger-than-expected list of spirits and cocktails. The only negative was some weak water pressure in the shower. I would stay here again for a short stay!

Every thing was great but not being able to connect to the Wi-Fi from the room was really annoying and also, 15,50£ for a “continental” breakfast without any typical Scottish food was disappointing…. Room wise it was very spacious, clean and comfortable.

Hotel is literally right across the street when you walk out of the train station and near everything you'd want to see in the city or by public transit to get there. Room was nice, clean and offered amenities expected. Bed was very comfy. Would recommend.
