'My adult son and I try to take a a small-scale road trip together every Spring. This past week, we built so many new memories, in great part due to this wonderful property. It’s super-clean, with character and an historical ambience. We found so much to do in the Galena area, including nearby towns and the Galena River Trail. 'One of two houses for an annual friends’ getogether. All amenities and features were as advertised. The bedrooms and en suites were clean and comfortable. The living area was attractive and welcoming. This was definitely a great choice for us.'

'Facilities exceeded expectations with two items. 1. A lot of the lighting on the lower level did not work. 2. The ice cube maker in the refrigerator would not stop making cubes. Cubes were jammed to the top of the cube compartment.'

'This vacation stay was a celebration for the 70th birthday of one of 6 sisters. We arrived on Memorial Day and left on the following Friday. We did go into Galena every day for part of the day but spent much of our time chatting, making puzzle and watching "chick flicks". It was a great way to spend time with sisters that I love dearly. The sleeping space was great and we appreciated having three separate baths. Would definitely consider a return trip!'

'We enjoyed our stay very much. House is great and at a great location. We spent a lot of time sitting out on a porch just looking out in the woods, chatting. There’s plenty of space to do your own thing or enjoy the company. House is clean and well stocked. It is also short drive from most Galena attractions. We will definitely go back.'

'This home was so well maintained. I love the little things like having everything labeled and instructions for the heating and cooling system. We also appreciated the quality of the kitchen/cooking tools (pots/pans etc.) and the mattress. This house lacked absolutely nothing! The owner kept great contact with us. We really enjoyed this home.'

'We had a perfect weekend for three friends from grade school to reconnect. The weather was perfect and the house was perfect. There were three bedrooms on three different floors, a deck to view nature, and a large kitchen table to eat, play games and laugh. The host was wonderful and sent suggestions ahead of time. Their home was well stocked and very comfortable. We had a picnic at Galena vineyards, shopped main street, ate at Galena brewery and did the Goat trek! We would love to come back...

'This place was very nice and cozy. We had a little mix up when we first arrived but the owner and cleaning lady were really nice and great and got things taken care of right away which we appreciated. The trails are super close and we took our dogs on lots of walks. The location was very close to the golf resort if you’re a golfer and just to drive around the scenery was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.'

'Stayed here for a long weekend in beautiful Galena! Fur baby was welcomed & the townhouse had everything from a kennel, leash, bowls etc! We loved the golf course and the clubhouse! 'My brother who is about 160 pounds sat on a kitchen table chair and it collapsed under him. One leg was broken on the chair. Thank goodness my brother caught himself on the way down. Also the left handle on the porch door is broken and kept falling to the floor. We fixed it best we could but the screw is stripped. The ants are so bad they carried the food away I know this is in the woods but so is our home and we do not have ants'

'We had 14 people stay for a business retreat. Each had their own bedroom and bathroom. We gathered in the great room for our meeting, experienced cooking together and a ‘family dinner’ around the big table. We hiked as our activity and enjoyed a bonfire too. We went into galena one evening for dinner - just a quick 20 minute drive. We enjoyed our short stay and would consider returning.'
