'Ideal for both fly fishing and family gatherings with friends. I can't image a better setting. Great house and outdoor socializing area. We found fish in-spite of less than ideal fishing weather. Great place to get reacquainted with many of our best friends who live in the area. We were able to get away from our hectic daily routines without have to back-pack into the deep wilderness. We expect to be back!'

'We have been coming to Lake Raystown for 20+ years to boat, camp, hike, and bike. This was our first stay at the Whippoorwill Retreat. It is a lovely home. We enjoyed the screened porch, the fire pit area and all the amenities included. We agreed to return again for sure!'

Bill and Doris showed great hospitality with communicating after booking, prior to our trip and the day we arrived. 'This may have been one of my favorite homes to stay in the Juniata College area! We were visiting our son for Easter from Philadelphia. The house is clean, kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, glasses etc. The game room was fun. Good for young kids & older more adult kids. Location was great for our dog walks. Communication was quick with the owner or agency. Check in and out procedures were very easy & simple. Will definitely try to stay here again!! Thank you Aunt Susie!!'

'The road going to the property was a little rough, ok for an SUV, but cars might have some difficulties, but take it slow, cause the end result is pretty cool. It opens up into a nice, wide vista of lush mountains & green pastures to your left, & where you'll being staying on your right. Cute as heck chickens greeted us the second we got out of our vehicle.
