Cabin was outdated, musty smelling ,warm ( stayed Memorial Day weekend) First night we were there was a tornadic storm , alarms going off at 4am we lost power , had no idea where we should go to take cover in this event and wasn’t notified by property manager as we were in a tiny cabin full off glass on one side . Needless to say we got no sleep , only 1 small window unit so the cabin got stuffy quick . I text manager at 7 am and response was yes , guys are working to get power on so many without power. We left for awhile getting ready with no power etc , came back at 3 pm still wasn’t on . So at this point the cabin smelt terrible and was really hot . All of our food in fridge was ruined , as I contacted the manager again to let them know we were going to drive back home ( 3 hours away) and wondering about a refund .. I was told people had died in that storm and hundreds of thousands were without power , and they’d refund us . This was all done in text . In my opinion it was handled very unprofessionally, our trip was cut short due to this unfortunate event , but I feel it all could have been handled better. Also there should be protocol for storms like that that people are dying in while we are sitting on the side of a mountain in a tiny home with a wall of glass and no clue where to go . That was very scary !!! I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it .
