Meer een appartement dan hotelkamer
Heel mooi gelegen hotel. Ipv een kamer een volledig appartement. Vanaf ruim balkon een fantastisch uitzicht over de Everglades.

geweldige plek om de everglades te ontdekken.
wij waren 3 dagen in dit hotel en hebben ons erg vermaakt .de kamer waren goed ingericht het interieur was wel wat verouderd met veel bruin maar dat paste naar onze mening wel bij de locatie.De keuken was volledig ingericht en dit is ook de enige keer tijdens onze reis dat we hebben gekookt. De patio met uitzicht op de rivier was beschermd met gaas waardoor je er ook s avonds nog kon zitten zonder last te hebben van insecten. het restaurant er naast is ook een aanrader zeker de saladebar het heeft net zo'n mooi uitzicht en zit erg gezellig, ook voor een drankje voor aan de bar. het zwembad wat je deelde was een stukje lopen maar dat vinden wij geen probleem het zat ook hier erg lekker. al met al een prima plek om de everglades te ontdekken en weer eens wat anders dan al die glimmende witte hotels.

Great view on the water - watched dophins swimming by and many birds. Very nice cabin. Had all we needed for our first visit to the area. comfortable beds. Kitchen well stocked. Convenient to all local attractions. Great staff - very friendly and helpful.

Relaxing Everglades base
We had a great 3x nights stay here - initial feeling is that is it a bit old school, but this adds to the charm of the place. We made use of the fishing poles to fish off the communal dock (you can buy bait across the road / next door) - as novices we still caught lots of catfish, snapper and crabs. There a number of laid back restaurants in town, most close by 8pm. Porch was great for breakfast as the sun rises - also grabbed a hearty breakfast from Nely’s Corner at the EFC across the street.

Wonderful place to stay! Loved the enclosed deck to sit and have a meal and watch the wildlife and river. Could use a couple more staples like salt and pepper. But all in all a great place to stay!

If you are looking for a small hometown feel. Just to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There is not one single thing in this town or at River Wilderness that will disappoint. We will definitely be going back if we could leave tomorrow and we just got back we would go!

The location of this property is fantastic. The views over the lake are incredible. It’s a great base to explore the Everglades. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Very misleading
Way overpriced for what you get. Media pictures show a pool on-site which is not. Was told on 2nd day of visit that several properties share a pool at another location. No housekeeping services during your stay. Went to get clean towels from office and no one there during posted office hours.

What a cute, comfortable little place. I loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the wildlife. We even saw dolphins. I would stay here again anytime.

Cozy and quiet stay
Very relaxing stay in a comfortable, roomy, “cabin”. Especially enjoyed the proximity of the lake, as well as the nature in and around it! Also loved the restaurants right across the street. Free canoe rental with the room was too tempting to pass up! Would definitely stay here again, but next time bring fishing gear!

It was the perfect peaceful getaway.,Loved sitting out on the back patio watching and listening to birds and wildlife.Mornings are so serene and quiet,watching the sunrise with coffee,and watching a big gator swim by,and dolphins swimming by.Evenings were especially interesting,we heard barred owls,herons,and even a bobcat.A well needed nature getaway.Such a hidden gem😊

Very peaceful and relaxing! Unfortunately the beds were not. The kitchen stove was very old but everything worked. Would like to have had Kleenex in bathroom. Regarding the amenities, they neglect to tell you that the outdoor pool is located on ANOTHER property and we could not find it. Don't know about the on-site laundry.

I don't want to leave a good review because I want this to remain a Hidden Gem hahaha but seriously this place was amazing. Every unit is different. The majority of them have been updated. They are timeshare units and owned by individual owners. If you don't get a good bed in one unit that is not to say the next unit is not going to have a fantastic bed. Our bed was perfect. Very safe quiet property. Being on the water is fantastic plenty of wildlife action even alligators floating down. Within walking distance to restaurants and convenience store. We will be back again.

Cabin was quaint and very clean. Right on lake placid with dock for your boat or fishing. Everglades city itself is small and quiet with not many dining options but we were there for fishing and boating not to be entertained. The only thing disappointing was that the bed was very uncomfortable and I was unable to sleep.
