'I chose this location because it was right on the water, and pet friendly, prerequisites for our vacation choice. The house is beautiful inside; clean, roomy, and perfect for our family size and gathering. We were celebrating my 70th birthday, and it could not have been a more memorable experience. 'We had a wonderful time at this cabin right on the banks of Lake Champlain! It's so kind of the owners to have coffee and creamer available. We enjoyed kayaking a lot. The only problem we had was we arrived at night and couldn't find the address for 156. It's not listed on a mailbox but it is on the cabin itself.'

'We were happy to be able to book Jessica’s place again because we had stayed there before. It is much roomier than having to stay in a hotel room. Quiet but close to Burlington and the islands. Restful area with their goats and chickens. Scenic with a river across the street. Jessica was a great host. We plan to book again.'

'This house is exactly as described. The house and the location were great. kitchen was well equipped (although the old style replica stove was a little challenging for a Thanksgiving dinner - but we made it work). Small details such as spices and Tupperware and aluminum foil made for a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.'

'The house is so much more spacious than it appears. Kitchen is a great size with abundant seating. Views are spectacular, people we met in the area were extremely friendly. We didn't stay in the summer, but this is definitely a perfect kayak base camp. Will definitely consider coming back in the summertime for just that.'

'My wife and I loved being here. It was a fantastic location and we enjoyed sunsets and people, boat, and birdwatching. The beds were super comfortable and it was very restful to sleep with the windows open and hear the birds chirping. The description is a little over the top with the 'sprawling back yard' and 'two-level patio' and 'sandy beach' - the yard and outdoor space are fine, if a little worse for wear. The property's beach is rocks, which again is fine, and you can walk down the beach...

'This is a “lived-in” rustic log cabin and was perfect for our group of fishermen. Hanging out in the great room in the evenings was ideal. Just two suggestions -the can opener is missing a gear and the back up manual can opener is bent and bends too easily to function. We also look forward to evenings at the fire pit, but the lawn was uncut 1 to 2 feet tall -a mess and made using the fire pit and waterfront impossible.'

'Location on the lake is beautiful. Sort of far from st albans 15-30 mins drive and 30-35 to Burlington. We visited for a UVM graduation so went back and forth a lot. Overall house is large and spacious with some updated amenities like appliances. Master is beautiful but other rooms are tight. 'Really beautiful, especially in the fall. We came the second week in October and some reds had fallen but there was a lot of yellow. We were so warm and cozy! There is no way to cook food though, just an outdoor sink, fresh water, and toilet. If you’re coming from out of town make sure you rent a car. There is no Lyft or Uber service in the area.'
