Rustige lokatie, zeer slechte service personeel
Gemengde gevoelens over Montebello Splendid. Het hotel op zich is goed en op een rustige locatie niet ver van het oude centrum. Het personeel echter is niet servicegericht. Je moet overal om vragen en dan nog lijkt het ze allemaal teveel en moet je lang wachten. Niet iets wat je van een 5-sterren hotel verwacht. De jongen van de bar/restaurant spant echter de kroon wat luiheid betreft. Het was allemaal erg vermoeiend voor hem. Het zou aangenamer zijn wanneer men zich richt op de gasten. Verder was er een avond om 23.30 uur, terwijl we lagen te slapen, ineens alarm. Hier deed men de volgende ochtend luchtig over, terwijl de ochtendploeg aan de receptie niet was ingelicht dat dit had plaatsgevonden. Slordig. Drankjes en diner te duur. Kortom, een teleurstellend verblijf in een best wel prettige omgeving.

Mooi hotel vrij centraal gelegen in Florence
Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van de meeste bezienswaardigheden en is zeer comfortabel. Onze enige bemerking was de zeer ingewikkelde procedure om wifi te gebruiken

Staff are above and beyond to address my request. For example one night there was a heavy rain and I couldn’t get taxi from my app, the hotel staff shelled me to get a cab quickly. Hotel has a nice setting and a beautiful courtyard. Location is convenient and close to the main attraction area. The property is a bit old and has a smell in the room because the window is small and there were a lot of mosquitos in Italy so I couldn’t get rid of the smell. I was told by a friend the smell is quite typical in Italy because the buildings are usually pretty old. Maybe the hotel can consider adding screens to windows so guest can open the windows to let air circulate. This will help. Other than that I have no complains

Nice property but felt a little cold. Bathtub was split in two by a wall and tub leaked all over floor. Kinda far to walk to bridges and restaurants. Nice staff and courtyard.

Avoid this hotel!!
Staff was rude on arrival. Our bathroom show was full of black mold. Hotel was full until the next day when we finally got moved to a clean room. Housekeeping the second day either threw away or stole our packages from Hermes and Gucci. Miraculously they were found hours later in their "dumpster". Was offered no consideration or sincere apology. The lobby and courtyard were nice.

Our stay at this hotel was horrible. In the first room that they gave us the Airconditioning made a loud screeching sound. In the second room, the ac did not work. For $550 euros a night they didn’t even provide coffee in the room. When speaking to the desk staff they appeared bothered rather than helpful.

It was outside the busy tourist area of Florence but also an easy walk to the all the main sites tourists would want to visit. It was where we met our tour guides from Trek Travel; they chose a great location. We had an excellent dinner there one night and the breakfast spread was awesome also. The only downside was the whirlpool tub and shower combo were a bit clumsy to maneuver in and out of but other than that it was great!

The hotel was beautiful and room was excellent. Floors were very slippery, almost dangerously so. We loved that there was a bar and restaurant on site. Service was very slow making it hard to actually use the bar.

Great hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast area was very pretty and relaxing. Great location- quiet and easily walkable to main sights.

The property is well maintained, breakfast really nice, but be aware that the hotel is far from the Duomo, it is located in a quiet street, but far from all Florence highlights.
