We had issues with the toilet which was stopped up and wouldn’t flush. I contacted the property host but no one came to fix the issue. Also we were only given two wash cloths per our whole stay (one wash cloth per person) I reached out to ask for more and also for clean linen and was told we’d have to repeatedly wash the wash cloths/towels/linens ourselves as the property manager only provides two washcloths per stay. We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels and were not provided with extra. During our stay we could hear everything going on in the condo around us, baby crying, people talking loudly, doors slamming etc. We also got locked out of the condo due to the battery going dead on the door. We had to wait 33 minutes before security came up to change it. The view is not full beach view, it’s partial beach, partially city, partial ocean where the boats dock. Overall this has not been a pleasant experience due to all the issues. I wouldn’t recommend nor would I book this unit again.

The unit had plenty of space and a lovely view. Kitchen worked well, although it could use more pots/pans if you plan on cooking meals there over a longer stay. Some reviews have complained about the elevators, but only once did we have a long wait around 10:30 in the morning. The beach was very crowded but that was to be expected around spring break time. The pool area was nice, but was also crowded on a nice day and it could be hard to find a spot. The building seemed pretty secure. You need your key to access elevators and you have to scan your key to get to your floor. Valet parking wasn't as big of a pain as I thought it might be. They give you a card with a QR code, and you text them 15 minutes before you need the car. There are very few stores or restaurants nearby off of A1A, besides those in the the hotels, but there are plenty a couple miles away. Overall, we enjoyed the place and would book it again.

Mixed Feelings
This review has 2 parts - first, the actual room was absolutely gorgeous and the view is exactly as is shown from the expansive balcony. There are no complaints here, we really enjoyed spending time in this room. Second, the actual property at Hyde Resort had much to be desired. The elevators were a nightmare, sometimes we had to wait 20+ minutes to go down 29 floors. The ID bracelets were quite invasive and were required to be worn at all times on the property under threat of a fine. The towel cards were required for the pool and beach, which provided 2 chairs and an umbrella. Again, there was the threat of a fine if this was lost or if towels were not returned. Shirts, shoes, tops were required in the lobby, again the threat of a fine if this was not adhered to. There were days I really had to think about if I wanted to wait for the elevator to go to the beach or pool, walking down 29 flights was not even an option. In closing, the room received a 9.5 and the actual property received a generous 6.

When we opened the door there was a lovely scent. The apt was very nice, modern appliance large refrigerator. Kitchen area was clean. But when we started to look closely there are repairs that are needed. The bottom of the drapes are filthy. Small parts of the ceiling are peeling. The shower area needs a facelift. The white towels could use some bleach, they are clean but appear dirty. But considering the the cons we still had a relaxing time.

Had a great time!!
The property was clean we were able to get an early check in. Easy to contact the property manager when we needed to. Elevators kinda suck but we did not wait too long during the week.. just must not have been too many people. There are nice complementary chairs and umbrellas (for 4 days) but you have to walk a ways down the beach to use. I would recommend this place but the pool closes at sun down and for families that really is kind of a bummer.. also be aware if you are planning to go to and from the room a lot, the elevators are not equipped for the building. There is only 3 and they can take a while. Overall we had a great stay (made friends with all the security guards.. they were the best part of the trip!) and enjoyed our vacation.

View is better than the photos - AMAZING
Property was gorgeous, the balcony view was amazing, restaurant by the pool was great. There is a Japanese Restaurant right next to the building as well. Loved that there were a LOT of super fluffy, clean white towels. The building was really nice with security guards in the lobby making it feel extra safe. Lots of other reviews mention elevators - they were not a big deal at all we only had to wait 1x for about 5minutes. Will 100% stay here again.

Dirty up close, not new anymore.
Arrived at check in to find that the resort had not received our names and reservation from property manager/host of unit. Took an hour to get in. Arrived to a unit with a bloody tampon in the toilet and blood on the toilet rim. Hair on pillowcases and black marks on pillow cases. Took a clorox wipe and wiped floor in some areas, floor was dirty. Requested cleaner to come back, it took about an hour or so for her to arrive and we needed to be there to let her in. Claims sheets were changed and they were clean. She cleaned the toilet mess up, I released her without any other cleaning, I was ready to start my vacation. Next day we took showers in cold water, mentioned the lack of hot water at the front desk and the next day we had hot water in shower, and a backing up shower drain, even with a rain shower head that produces a weak stream of water. Disgusting to have to stand in a shallow pool of drain backup water. It took days to get someone in the fix that. Never had hot water at kitchen sink. Dishwasher is not anchored to counter top and will tip out, better be quick and catch that. Headboard on bed is filthy, hair and dust all over the headboard. Sofa/futon is uncomfortable and is stained. Hair all over the floors around the perimeter of rooms where cleaner must avoid cleaning. Elevators were not an issue, you had to wait a few minutes for 1 of 4 elevators to arrive, it isn't a big deal.

Flat out amazing!!
Everything with the property was amazing, some people complained of the elevators we were up and down them many many many times considering we DoorDash almost every meal and frequent did the beach and pool. We never had any issues with the elevators at all. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever stayed in aside from our personal residence. If there was one complaint it would be that the beach chairs you are allowed to use for complementary are almost 150 yards down the beach and not directly in front of the property. But other than that the residence itself was absolutely amazing, with amazing views.

Fantastic experience
Really enjoyed our stay here. We should have requested early check in because we had to wait around for a couple hours before we could get into our room. We were still able to go up to the pool and restaurant though. View was amazing and everything was nice and clean. We stayed Wednesday through Monday and had zero problems with elevator wait times. They were super fast and we used them frequently! Overall we had an amazing time, thank you.

Modern Comfort with Tons of Amenities
I've always preferred staying in a private residence over a hotel. Staying at this property gave me the advantages of both. The condo was brand new with gorgeous modern furniture and excellent kitchen appliances and kitchenware (many rental properties have older appliances and low quality kitchen supplies). The hotel gives access to the pool, gym and of course, restaurants. I loved this place, and I'd stay here again.

It took the elevators 30 minutes to come to your floor and then another 10-15 to get to the floor you needed to go to. The workers need to speak a little better in English. There is nothing to do within walking distance of this hotel. Over all the service was terrible. Will not be staying here ever again

The condo itself was clean and nice. It’s had beautiful views and was very comfortable. The facility itself was a bit lack luster. The elevators were a constant issue. We had to climb the 29 floors several times during our stay to avoid a 30+ minute wait. Which became a who-will-win game for us, but if you are not able to climb that many flights I would consider looking elsewhere. Upon arriving on our floor we were constantly met with the smell of skunk weed... nasty! Apparently the no smoking policy was a little loose as was the “strict” no party policy, as we were kept awake by our neighbors multiple nights til 2-3 am. You can tell that in its first few years the pool area was quite nice, but it wasn’t clean. Constant trash blowing around, tables were never wiped down, and obnoxiously drunk people still being served. The condo comes with 2 beach chairs and umbrella, but what isn’t stated is that you have to walk down the beach in order to find your chairs. The chairs that are located at the resort itself are for purchase only. It honestly makes no sense. If I owned this place I would look at selling it. The facility is mismanaging your property!

We had an amazing week at the condo. The condo was modern, clean and refreshing. It had everything we needed. The most impressive aspect was the view. There is nice furniture on the balcony to sit and enjoy the beautiful colors of the ocean or relax and watch a colorful sunrise. Karla was very responsive to any question we had and everything was just as described. We would definitely recommend this condo and thank you for a wonderful week.

Really lovely but...
The pictures are very accurate: the condo is well appointed and clean with everything you need. The location, beach, balcony, and pool are awesome (you pay a daily fee and it was well worth it). The restaurants and bars nearby are also good! This would have been a slam dunk five star rating. BUT The elevators are not sufficient for the size of the towers and the waits are sooooo long. Leave plenty of time if you have a reservation or appointment because it could take you an extra 15-30 min and then you will likely be squished on an elevator with no social distancing. They apparently also don’t have service elevators so everyone uses the same ones. Also, the desk staff and others are not happy or nice. They must hate their jobs as they seem not to care. We overall loved our time there and feel bad as the owner likely can’t do much about the elevator or staff.

We very much enjoyed this trip! I was glad I read the reviews to warn me about the elevators; it’s also like this in Destin. It was only crowded on the weekend. The pool and beach service were great! The room was clean and just as shown and the view of the water was amazing!!

In others review there was some Discussions of poor elevator service, this is true. Not enough elevators, but if you stay away from them at peak times, it was a non issue. The hotel Room was beautiful. Very comfortable bed. Only issue was no hot water at all in the shower. The view was beautiful. The location was great. There were some late night partiers so we let security know and they took care of it. My only complaints is with the hotel in general. The check in process was odd. We had to sit and wait since we were in an owners unit, which is not a big deal. However, once we were in our room and we had a question about something we couldn't actually call the front desk. That really bothered me. The front desk or guest services never answers the phone. There was no concierge. If you have a question or anything you have to go all the way downstairs to talk to them. I found that extremely obnoxious. Especially considering that the elevators were very slow and there was sometimes even a line to get on the elevator. At one point one of the elevators broke and we had to wait 20 minutes for an open elevator to get back up to our Room. So yeah that's annoying having a walk all the way down to the front desk to actually speak to them. Also we were told that an umbrella, two chairs and beach towels were included which they were but first come, first served. That would be good information to have ahead of time. There needs to be more towels on the beach because the beach service runs out of towels around noon (pretty early). Beach was a little dirty. Not really a hotel issue. More of a side note. But it was a busy time of year. To sum up my only issue was the hotel's management of things.

We are optimists. We read the other reviews and said "it can't be that bad ... the pictures look great we are going." It is that bad! Listen to the reviews!! Find another location to vacation. Being optimistic we will start with the pros - the balcony view is beyond what the pictures can even show. We had a perfect view of the sunrise and ocean to the left while still being able to see the city and canals to the right. We spent a lot of time on the balcony!! Cons - - Dirty Condo. Dirty socks on the dining room chair, dust bunnies in the corners and dirty baseboards. - Sheets were very rough - Towel was ripped - Resort: the elevators are SLOW and you will wait! Not much more to say other than the reviews are true. It will ruin your vacation if you let it. We walked both up and down the stairs - yes 29 floors - we were so fed up. - Pool - the only pleasant people are the Pool Attendants. You put down an empty glass and they are removing it immediately. You need a lounge chair moved they are on it. Other than that staff seems to have a very poor attitude. 1/3 of the pool deck is reserved for owners - this section is policed by rent-a-cops because it is mostly unused while the rest of the pool deck is crowded. Wait staff only concerned with cabanas. Drinks are expensive. - Front Desk staff - We had luggage that was delayed. Staff would NOT accept delivery of our bags or even call us to come for them when they were delivered. Luckily we were tracking the bags on the app and waiting in the lobby as the staff was sending the company away with our bags. As much as we liked the view, we will NOT return to this property. If you are still reading and can't get out of your reservation here are a few tips - We did have soap and shampoo samples in our condo but overheard others complain that nothing was provided in their unit. Condo came with trash bags, tissue, 1 paper towel role and dish soap and sponge, 3 Nespresso pods, coffee filters and a few sugar packets. No salt and pepper or dishwasher pods so plan accordingly when you shop (Walmart and liquor store are within walking distance). - No pets or alcohol allowed on the beach; best to get your own drinks and stay on your balcony.

My low review is not a reflection of the Owner. She was very responsive to my emails and the condo was very clean with an awesome view. However, I am disappointed that the cleaning ladies broke a coffee pot (after we checked out) that I now have to pay for. We didn't use the coffee maker once. I don't feel that this resort was a great value...especially for the price we paid. The people at all levels of this resort were not friendly (hostesses, check in), the restaurants were limited, the beach bar was non-existent, the beach restrooms were filthy and the elevators took FOREVER. We also had to pay for beach chairs and towels that were supposed to be included in our stay. I continue to communicate with the resort to get this refunded...and I already had paid a large resort fee for nothing. We eventually walked to a resort down the beach with better bar/grill services that were much cleaner and friendlier (the Diplomat). Hyde Resort lost a lot of money from us over the 2 days. I have stayed at several VRBOs over the years and never have given anything but a 5-star rating. I would not stay here again. Not worth the money.

The owner's representative was very responsive and the apartment was clean and as advertised. The staff were all friendly. The owners need to force the onsite management to step it up, though. The line to check in for the rentals was out the door, while employees at other counters were standing around. The elevators are a nightmare - set to skip floors if a very low threshold of riders board. Get on and then worry about where you're going. If you know these going in, you can prepare yourself and still enjoy the visit as overall the property is nice and a good value for the price. I heard that this situation is consistent whether holiday time or not. The restaurants are both very good and sitting by the water at Etaru was truly relaxing.

We really enjoyed staying here and will consider this place again next time we're in Florida. Pictures are accurate! Full kitchen is updated and we took advantage of the balcony. Gorgeous beach views with coffee during sunrise, then lovely cityscape views at night with cocktails. Perfect location. All the creature comforts you would expect.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place was absolutely beautiful and we had everything we needed and more. We have not received our refundable deposit as of yet, so not sure how long that takes, but that would be the only downside to the trip.

The condo was absolutely lovely. Spotless, bright, well priced, very well appointed, very comfortable bed. The facilities at the resort are quite nice and the service from staff very good. My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the elevator situation. Granted I stayed here over Easter/Passover so the resort was fairly crowded as expected, but at peak times you can literally wait 20 minutes to get an elevator. Other than that everything was perfect.

I would not recommend this place at all. My husband and I were planing a great vacation. At check in we had to stand and listen to the owner of the unit argue with the concierge. We came up to the room the air is not working. We called the manager and the owner no answer For an hour. We texted and then we decided to leave and I texted the manager that we are leaving and we want our refund. She refused the refund. Was very rude. Still did not receive the refund or the cleaning deposit.

Sleek and clean - expect resort fees
Nice condo, nice view and clean. Beautiful pool area. Condo needs at least one glass baking dish and a cookie pan would be nice. Be prepared to pay $38/night to park and $25/day resort fees. We were not aware of these. Beach very narrow and lots of seaweed. Beach was closed last two days with no forewarning. :(
