'This stay was our stopping point of a 2024 road trip. We wish we could have stayed longer because sitting on the back deck looking at the crystal clear Smith River was just wonderful. And being so close to the Redwood National Park was an added bonus. Marian and John were great hosts and gave us suggestions on some additional hikes close by. We would definitely recommend a stay here.'

'1. This is camping in the back hills. Worth the trip. It is as advertised. bring your own blankets and food that can be warmed on a wood stove. 2. The area had a recent fire but is recovering nicely. 3. the camp itself is worth the trip 4. Communication from expedia to vrbo to Dan Sasquach was severely lacking. '

'As long as you set your expectations to truly camping in a tree house you won't be let down! The directions were so helpful, we had a bit of confusion about where to park, and it is a cold water only place. But it was such a treat to camp in a tree house, to take the dirt roads and truly be off the grid, and the cold water added to the experience. We were charmed by the mosaics all over the farm, and my children still talk about the sweet dogs that stuck by our sides the whole time. We will...

'Overall great experience with our rental, communicate well in advance as understandably Dan will not always be able to reply as promptly. Enjoyed the creek/swimming hole. No surprises and our cabin was very private and enjoyable.'

'The property was beautiful, the cabins and various other structures were beautiful, the many tile mosaics were , you guess it, beautiful. No complaints at all. The goats were sweet lovies, we met the greatest dog , one of the residents we met was kind and generous and showed us around. My only complaint is that we only had one night in the area! Maybe someday I’ll make it back to the west coast and stay again! Thankful for the kindness of this off grid community for sharing their space with us.'
