'Host was wonderful and helpful with tip to get around. The little pub down the street was friendly and the food great at a very good price. It was easy to get into Central Amsterdam, however you probably only want to do it once a day. We found that after a day in the Central City we were too tired to return at dinner time. 'Very nice stay on the boat. Terrace is very convinient if you want to stay in the sun. Very calm even though there is a bridge but the noice is not very hard. Nice small room with everything you need. One inconvenient: the soap was not refilled there was no soap but we used the shower gel that was refilled.'

'Appartement was niet goed schoongemaakt. Op het toilet zat urine tussen de deksel en het scharnier. Gordijnen waren niet schoon. Zagen slordig uit. De gordijnen bij de slaapkamer hingen los. Kon niet gesloten worden. Rookmelder was niet compleet, zat alleen een dekseltje aan plafond. Televisie was buiten werking. Was nog niet aangepast aan digitaal, vertelde de eigenaar. 'Canal view stay has to be one of the best BnB experiences that we have ever had. The comfort and home-feel of a BnB was combined with the attention to detail and service found within a design hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the space that was larger than expected from the photos. The apartment is in an excellent location walking distance from supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops and of course - Vondelpark. We became regulars at the bar next door that serves great food and drinks....

'Lovely host, lovely property, great location, but be warned the unit is 4 flights up those world famous Amsterdam staircases. Overall our party consisting of 2 couples was well served by Christy's apartment, the only thing we found lacking was a microwave. Would stay again.'

'Ellen and Ceasar have an amazing place in the heart of Amsterdam. The design is very unique, you'll be greeted by hosts, personal welcome note on the door and a bottle of wine. Location is great (Jordaan), communication with Ellen and Ceasar is super easy, they also have a book of recommendations if you need any. We felt so comfortable that at the end of the busy day the best part was staying in and enjoying the evening with a glass of wine and some music in our Amsterdam home.'

'I stayed here for 10 days and it was just what I wanted — plus the landlady is the kindest, sweetest person ever! She cheerfully helped me wrestle my heavy suitcase down the stairs and deal with the King’s Day crowds. A truly gracious and kindhearted host!! The apartment was spotless with a very comfy bed and the bathroom was also spotless and fully modernized.
