Wonderful description... thank you, Lacie. Thanks for mentioning the tub/handheld shower, we're in the process of removing the clawfoot tub and installing a shower in it's place - that will be mush easier for folks. Hope you'll be back!

Thank you for your thoughtful remarks. Please be reminded that we have had the wettest July in history and all of us are feeling a bit soggy and musty at this point. I am told by the owner that all windows open (only one without a screen.) We've tried very hard to write an accurate description of the space with particular mention of bathtub/handheld shower... we urge all potential renters to fully read description before booking. You are quite right about the wifi being spotty - Richard just had the cable company out in April to update his service to be sure the studio would have a strong signal - it has been intermittent at best but we are continuing to work toward a solution and appreciate you letting us know about this and other issues you had. Again, our space is for the adventurous traveler.

Philip left the retreat space immaculate and their stay was that of two persons who appreciated the peaceful get away and how the space is designed. We did not have the opportunity to meet for their arrival was late in the evening but would welcome them back anytime!

I'm not sure I understand your first sentence... it is an approx 18-20 min walk to Good Harbor Beach (as stated in our ad.) This is an eclectic and unique property which is fully described in our description. We always assume that guests have fully read and viewed all photos before booking. Sorry that you were surprised and less than pleased, we appreciate your candid comments and will take them into consideration.

Kamela is such an open and delightful person. Our retreat space is not the usual American type of experience. It is best suited for individuals who are unique and have a personal presence that takes them into the multiplicity of world travel.

The best part of the HomeAway experience is the potential of meeting new persons to share the surprises of life's journey. Keri and Patrick are guest who are both understanding and open to such simple joys. They are at the top of the list for people one would look forward to meeting. Wonderful to hear that you left feeling refreshed and restored! Just want to clarify a few things for future readers and guests: The studio is located in Gloucester (not Rockport). We are happy to hear that the 2 fans worked very well for you once the sliding door to the solarium was closed off during the day - the space stays quite cool. We rarely need A/C here in New England, especially on the coast. The double bed is best described as a Tempurpedic memory foam mattress on a futon frame - which many find is great for sleeping. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the skylight over the tub and got to experience a Good Harbor Beach sunrise. Please come back and stay with us anytime! Richard & Linda
