Good Choice
This is our second stay in a property managed by Cherry. Both times our experience has be excellent. The properties are located in a more rundown section of town, which is the only downside. They are close to grocery stores and restuartants. The property was clean, cute and secure. You won't regret staying here.

Great property steep incline/decline to the river
We rented this home for a week to get friends and family together for a summer wrap up. The house was great for a group of our size! There was plenty of space, extra roll away beds if needed, and was the most well stocked rental home we have had. There was an issue with a broken pipe to the well but the homeowner was VERY responsive and got it fixed very quickly. We did have issues with yellow jackets but we went and got traps and enjoyed watching the stinging suckers go down. If you have anyone in your group with mobility issues the short walk to the river is steep and may be difficult to manage. Overall, we will be utilizing this property again and would recommend it to others!

Wonderful property
This property was a great place for our family vacation this year. We had 5 adults and 2 children under age 5. The house was in excellent shape with a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. The gas grill on the deck was in great shape! It was nice to be so close to the river. The walk to the river includes a short steep hill. There is a rope provided to help with the climb. Due to the proximity of the house, the internet was a little weak. We were able to use hotspots to give us the strength we needed to view emails and stream movies. Stephen and Sarah were responsive and wonderful to work with. They were flexible with us when we needed to make small changes to the agreement. We would definitely go back again!

Peaceful home along the Rogue River
My wife and I had a peaceful four night stay at Stephen and Sarah's home along the Rogue River while we were in the area to attend our youngest son's wedding. The neighbors to the north and south (about 50 yards on either side of the home) are quiet and respectful folks. The path down to the river is a little steep, but easily manageable. Saw a female deer one morning along the river, in addition to numerous ducks and two herons. The kitchen is very well equipped and especially caters to people who like wine - plenty of red and white wine glasses and six corkscrews :). Truly enjoyed our visit.

The host was great. The house was prefect. We rented the house to celebrate our daughter turning 18. A weekend on the Rogue in the nice warm sun with her close friends. The house was prefect. Right on the river our own little river beach. River chairs and toys provided. Close to Merlin were we rented rafts to go on a 7 hour float down the Rogue.

Great house for an event home base
We were attending an antique engine and tractor show a few miles away. There were three couples, all in our 60s and 70s. We loved using the well-equipped kitchen and dining room for group breakfasts and dinners, and the two living room spaces and deck. The bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms pleasant. We'd all stay here again when in the area.

Peaceful
A beautiful property with lots of birds in the morning and frogs and crickets at night. A picnic bench on the deck which we played games on. Owners were very responsive and kind. River is a few feet away down a steep slope, go down easy and not too bad coming back up. Lots of extra stuff in the kitchen, that was nice. Love the washer and dryer. Lots of towels, don’t forget your personal toiletries..overall beautiful space!!

Rogue River home is wonderful!!
Clean, spacious, well maintained inside and out, far exceeding our expectations!! Hosts have gone out of their way to make sure you have everything you need! The view of the river is so gorgeous. Beautiful and peaceful place to stay! Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Perfect family spot
This our 2nd time renting the Riverhouse. First time we were visiting Oregon. Now we live here so when family plans were made to spend Thanksgiving together we knew just where our family would fit comfortably. River views are great, outdoor spaces are perfect. They all agreed when they come back again they want to stay at The Riverhouse.

The perfect spot

Nice Place - Clean
Nice, quiet location on the river. It's about 20 minutes from town, a little out of the way. The Dish satellite did not work so we were not able to watch the news during Hurricane Ian. My 83 year old Mother was out from Tampa, so it was a little frustrating for her.

Riverhouse
The house was great, clean and completely stocked. Owners were awesome to communicate with. The only negative was the steep hill to get down to the river. I took my husband to fish there as it looked like the river was right past the yard but did not show the steep climb to get to the river, he has lung disease, he was not able to even walk down to river. It is not an easy climb out of there for anybody elderly, with asthma or not in great health. That being said the property is great and the deck is fantastic if you just want to enjoy the view of the river.

Perfect Rogue River House
Wonderful view of river, short walk to get in the river. We paddle boarded every day from different locations on the Rogue River. We barbecued almost every day. It was beautiful weather that cools off every night. The house had everything you need for a great vacation.

Our family had a wonderful time. Was nice that we could bring our dogs who had a fun time playing in the rogue river. We enjoyed seeing the Hellgate jet boats go by during the day and hearing the frogs at night. Great family spot!

Perfect secluded river beach
Home is spacious with everything you would need or want available to use. The property is quite large for all the running around space for football and frisbee and even has a horse shoe pit. We spent most our time on the very large deck Outback right off the kitchen and living rooms. Well worth and will recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was comfortable and spotless. It had everything you needed for entertainment and eating. Location was great to activities on the Rogue River and a quick trip to Ashland for Cabaret and Shakespeare. Pet Friendly too. Would highly recommend.

Weekend Getaway With Family
The River House provided a great stay for our family of 7. Plenty of beds and bath linens. Pleasantly surprised by the wonderful pantry supplies from spices to paper products for picnics. Enjoyed the horse swing for our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter. Also enjoyed the fire pit where we roasted hotdogs and s’mores.

Prefect backyard
My husband, daughter and I are in town visiting family from SoCal. The River House is a great location with a beautiful backyard and front yard. The house is clean and comfortable. WiFi is slow but we are on Spring Break. It’s peaceful but not too far from town for restaurants and markets. The owners was very responsive. We will definitely come back to the River House next time. Hopefully in the summer. Its rained 90% of ours stayed. It’s Oregon.

Magical riverside retreat...
What a lovely place to call home for a couple of days! The location is absolutely gorgeous and the house had plenty of room for us to spread out and be comfortable. The deck, yard, and river access were perfect for the sunny days we were lucky enough to have. The only minor issue on arrival was that the house number is only visible from the road coming in from one direction and, coming from the other, we missed it and had to backtrack. Also, we had a really tough time with the WiFi during our stay. Not a big deal for us, maybe a little more for the accompanying teens :) Overall, we've already talked about making a return trip to stay longer!

Amazing family getaway for the guys
I booked this getaway for my husband, brother in law and father in law. They had the best time! I just asked my husband to help review and it said amazing and excellent on all fronts. My father in law said he didn’t know if he’s ever seen such clean floors in his life. They want to stay here again and I’m sure they will. Owners were excellent communicators. Wonderful place to stay, we highly recommend!

Great location for a fun, relaxed weekend with family. The house is extremely well appointed!!! Kitchen has most everything you could want & appliances work well. The house and property are lovely. Our group of 7 had a great time. The space is very adequate, even for wheelchair, with the rental of portable ramps for the steps. Sarah is quick to respond to inquiries and accommodated our need for early check-in.

Peaceful and relaxing
Spent a long weekend with girlfriends and we were so happy with this home. Roomy, yet very cozy and comfortable. Very well stocked kitchen and pantry. While sitting on the deck, we saw tons of birds, deer and even foxes! We spent a the majority of our day on the riverbank. Great spot to relax. Nice private rocky beach. Water was cold, but refreshing and was not too deep. We are already planning our next stay!

A peaceful retreat at the river
My partner and I stayed at the River House for a week and were joined by some family members (my sister, her husband, and our 93-year-old mother) for the second half of our stay. We lucked out with the fall weather and enjoyed the late morning sun in the hammock every day, as well as walks down to the river to see the birds and beavers. The house was very comfortable overall, although it would be nice to have more seating in the movie room. The kitchen is quite well-appointed and the pantry had quite a nice supply of staples. The instruction guide could use some updating (for example, the fireplace information was out of date) but overall everything was very clear and easy to follow. Would come back!

Fishing Getaway
Enjoyed our short stay along the Rogue River. The house meet our expectations. It was clean with plenty of extras in the kitchen for filling in the "oh I forgot that". Beds were comfortable. The weather was very nice and the fall colors did not disappoint. Just a suggestion regarding a few items in the house. The baseboards and trim in the entire house need to be painted. It really detracted from the decor. Many of the pots and pans in the kitchen need to be replaced due to the teflon worn off or damaged. Everything else was great. We did not catch a whole lot of fish, but our grandkids really enjoyed the use of your gold pans. They may have hit the bonanza, or at least they thought so. Thank you very much for sharing your river home.

Beautiful home on the river has everything you need. Did some rafting and searched for rocks in the river bed. Did a day trip to Jedediah Smith redwoods and Gold Beach. Would rent this place again!

Over all great experience . With the exception of strong dog odor in the house , and the smoke due to the fires . The owner apologized for odor . It seems that no good deed goes unpunished. She let some displaced evacuees stay there . They washed their dog in the kitchen sink. Found hair . Nice way to say thank you for their kindness .

Great place on the river
I am a clean freak and this property met my expectations for being very clean. Part of our stay we had 8 people and there was plenty of room, the layout makes it easy to have so many and not feel crowded and the awesome giant deck adds to the gathering space. The two roll out beds were pretty comfortable as far as roll out beds go. The only thing that would make the house better is AC. It hit 100 a couple of days and it became uncomfortably warm inside even with the two portable units. Given the great river access this would not stop me from renting again. We were able to rent a float boat from a nearby business and were on the river most days. Other reviews mentioned the steep river access. Yes, it is a bit steep, but if you are able bodied it is not a problem (in summer at least). Our group was 60-16 yr olds and no one had an issue. If you have mobility issues it might be an issue, however, there is a fantastic view of the river from the yard and deck so still plenty to enjoy. The owner is easy to contact, very responsive and a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
