Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding
Spontaan een weekendje naar Engeland gegaan en dit hotel gevonden voor een redelijke prijs. Als je het hotel van buiten ziet lijkt het niet veel maar de kamers zijn ruim en schoon. Ook een grote badkamer.

Het was koud in de kamer....enkel te verwarmen via een airco unit met het nodige ventilatorgeluid.....jammer. Buiten vroor het weliswaar maar dit vind ik toch een min puntje....

Enjoyed the location of the hotel the most: some nice hidden treasures in the neighbourhood such as the Tlbury Fort. However rooms were noisy. Room 241 was promised to be a nonsmoking room, yet it smelled badly.

The only room with a wet room is a single. The “disabled “ rooms have a shower over a bath. The bath has two side handles. Our bedroom door could only open halfway because the door hit the front of the toilet. If you have any mobility problems do not use this hotel.

Property Lovely grounds, a nice restaurant area, The room was a little dated however very clean and spacious. Be aware that you have to pay for parking, The staff was very pleasant and made us feel welcome. Food - well presented and lots of choice at breakfast. Negatives. Soup of the day, not the best. Value - Excellent. Got a great deal with Breakfast included. I would recommend and would defo stay again.

Tree of life church Conference.
Attending a three day conference. Hotel staff are amazingly helpful nothing is too much trouble. Refurbishment is taking place but organised chaos! Not a problem at all. Will be returning again in April.

Excellent stay. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very warm and friendly. If you need a hotel in that neck of the woods would highly recommend Stifford Hall without hesitation.

Surprisingly good value
Very convenient for the A13, and there was no significant noise from it. The receptionist was lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. We only stayed a night, so did not try any of the other facilities. Surprisingly, cheaper for our stay than the less pleasant Premier Inn up the road. The only negative is the £3 charge for car parking, even as a hotel guest. It’s very minor in the grand scheme of things, but I was just surprised by it.

My mother and I stayed here the night before starting a cruise which left from Tilbury. We ate a tasty dinner at the hotel bar and a great breakfast the next morning. The hotel arranged for a taxi to take us to the boat which was great! The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and had all the necessities. We would stay here again if we take another cruise leaving from Tilbury.

We've stayed here a few times now as it's most convenient for family gatherings in the local area. The hotel was very quiet. Plenty of parking (at £3.00/night) The restaurant was closed but we were eating out anyway. The cooked breakfast was good. The rooms are quite basic but perfectly fine for a few nights stay and fine for the cost. Our room was very hot and we found the radiator valve didn't work so we couldn't turn it down/off. We'll be staying again and happy to recommend to people looking for a decent hotel in this area.

Two night stay with easy access to Lakeside.
Stayed in garden suite which was very good. Rooms were clean, place was quiet. Ate meal in bar (Restaurant closed on Sundays) Food was very good and well prepared. Service was personal.

Accomodation comfortable but scenery was letdown
Good, quick check in, friendly jovial receptionist on my visit, Mrs M is all i will give away of her name, nice grounds at front only let down though is that the advertised pictures of grounds is deceiving, no views at all from accomodation quarters view is of the carpark area or service areas , all brickwork, pipes, ventlation shafts and tarmac ground. The views were not stately home looking or greenery like pic shows of the front facade. If your stay prioritises being set in grounds of greenery and trees with a stately residential look and feel then skip this one as that is just at the front entrance and a lot smaller in size than the panaramic lense photoshop actually depicts however , if looking for comfortable stay in fresh air away from city and good condition accomodation block then this will suffice.

Was quite disappointed for the price we paid for the room. Only one double plug socket. Broken and dirty drawers Old soap residue left on the shower shelf. Outside in the hallway stairwell the handrails was full of thick dust. And the price of drinks was horrendous!!! Also changed to park the car. Would of been cleaner and cheaper to stay at Travelodge

Would not stay here again, arrived late and check in process was very slow, the person on the desk didn’t seem to know what to do, and gave contradictory information. Room was ok, bathroom smelled of stale urine, but honestly it was not worth trying to raise this. Photos are misleading, most of the accommodation is in other buildings, behind, off corridors which remind you of overnight ferries
