This was our second visit to Castello Vicchiomaggio but the first overnight there. It's a beautiful historic property that is maintained impeccably. Our room was perfect in every way. We stayed in a junior suite. It was extremely spacious with a separate living room. The decor was very tasteful and the linens were luxurious. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure. The bath products supplied smelled lovely. The food at the main castle, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, was excellent. The chef is quite talented for sure! After checkin we enjoyed our complimentary gift of wine while sitting under the olive trees taking in the beauty of the valley below. The pool was too cool to enjoy unfortunately but would be excellent on a warmer day for sure. The views are crazy beautiful! After relaxing for a few hours, we enjoyed a tour of the vineyards, and historic cellar, then a wonderful wine paired dinner with live piano music. It was an extremely dreamy experience. We'll definitely return and highly recommend.

Castello Vicchiomaggio is the place to stay for the ultimate Tuscany experience. The property is absolutely beautiful and the pool is a refreshing oasis. The restaurant was delicious as well - one of our best meals in Italy! We hope to return again someday.

Absolutely loved staying here! The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large and the staff is great. The food is ok and the beds aren't great, but overall highly recommend staying here. The pool is absolutely amazing as are the views. Can't beat em!

The property is amazingly beautiful. Everything was meticulous, including the castle and the grounds. The food was delicious. We had daily breakfast, one dinner in the dining room as well as a picnic that was perfectly prepared for us. What impressed me most,however, was the people. When I think back about the castle, that is what comes into my head first. They took SUCH good care of us in every way. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed so they prepared us sandwiches. They prepared a beautiful picnic for our dinner one evening and when we had transportation issues, they went above and beyond to help us. I would love to go back!

A truly special place!
My partner and I stayed at Castello Vicchiomaggio for a couple of nights during a 2-week trip through Italy. It was everything we dreamed of and more! The vibe and ambiance at the castello was great, and the views are simply incredible. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view across the vineyard. The food was amongst the very best we had across our whole time in Italy. The lunch menu was particularly excellent value for money and tasted amazing. We went on Castello Vicchiomaggio's wine tour, and this was a highly recommendable experience. The wine produced on this Chianti estate is amazing, and to learn about the wine and the estate was so interesting. My partner and I got engaged at this stunning place, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Delfina made this most magical moment possible, and I can't emphasise enough how helpful and hospitable she was both ahead of and during our stay. All of the staff were so friendly and profession, and this only added to our amazing stay. We will certainly be back in the future, and this place will forever hold a special place in our heart.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and were blown away with the views and grounds of this property. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was VERY spacious! We enjoyed time by the pool and lunch in the garden - the lunch was amazing! We HIGHLY recommend joining the Monday night vineyard tour, wine tasting and dinner in the ballroom. It was one of our favourite experiences from our trip, and it was very affordable! Our tour guide, Ines, was charismatic and engaging - we absolutely loved her. She even made recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip and we had one of our BEST meals at one of her recommendations. We will DEFINITELY be staying here on our next trip to Tuscany!

This was a memorable stay at a castle! First, it was cool to stay at this castle. Next, the Family Apartment was tremendous (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, huge living area). Next, you have to eat dinner at their restaurant - it seems everyone who stayed there did so also - and it was the best night of our trip. The pool was great (quiet, not a party area, no bar, etc). The grounds are great to walk around, sit on a bench, enjoy the views, take pics, relax, have a drink, go wine tasting, etc.) The beds weren't too comfortable but it wasn't a big deal.

Schönes Castello mit Verbesserungspotential
Ankunft: Parkplatz voll, die meisten Autos gehörten Mitarbeitern und Lieferanten, welche den Gästeparkplatz benutzten. Empfang: Liebloser Empfang durch gestresste Dame, keine Hilfe beim Gepäck, nur 1 Zimmerschlüssel. Pool: Sehr schön. Restaurant: Im Garten sehr schön, Innenräume aber kalt und lieblos. Roomservice: Ungenügend, wenn man mehr als 2 Rollen WC-Papier braucht, dann ist das ein Problem. Kaffee und Tee wird nur schleppend und widerwillig aufgefüllt. Checkout: Lieblos, wir wurden während unseres 4-tägigen Aufenthaltes kein einziges Mal gefragt ob wir zufrieden sind, obwohl wir wegen des Roomservices natürlich reklamiert hatten. Zusammenfassung: Eigentlich ein schöner Ort mit viel Potential. Wir fühlten uns aber nicht willkommen. Einzig die Bedienung im Restaurant war immer freundlich und aufgestellt. Wir werden das nächste Mal in ein anderes Castello gehen, es hat ja genug davon in der Gegend.

Abbiamo soggiornato nelle stanze all’interno del castello per due notti, si è rivelata sicuramente un’esperienza unica. La struttura e le parti comuni sono molto fascinose, la piscina con vista molto gradevole, i giardini ben curati si apprezzano al meglio cenando nel ristorante interno alla struttura. Ottima colazione con prodotti di qualità servita in una sala imponente con bel camino . Personale disponibile e sempre cortese. Quello che abbiamo gradito di meno sono gli arredi delle camere ed il bagno, a nostro parere un po’ datati che valorizzano poco gli ambienti.
