'Our family of 7 adults were a bit cramped and sharing 1 bathroom was a challenge, but this is a great location - across the street from the beach, 5 minutes from Laie and the Polynesian Culture Center, close to the North Shore. Tons of beach gear to borrow - we were sorry that our few days there were rainy and windy. Still, way better than staying in Honolulu.'

'My family (with two kids) stayed 4 nights and found that it was the perfect location with a great family atmosphere. We enjoyed the our mornings on the beach and even saw saw turtles and a seal, and found the location was perfect for our day trips and we drove to all points of the island. The had a couple of meals from the food trucks that was a short walk down the road.'

'What can I say the room had a great view the instructions were easy to follow the reason there’s a $100 deposit for parking is because people kept leaving with the parking placards so they upped the deposit. You do get it back when you leave. I would definitely stay here again'

'This property is perfect for families. There is plenty of room for everyone, a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, an accessible washer/dryer and tons of beach gear to use. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. While the beach across the street isn’t for public use- there are dozens along the shore a short walk/drive away. There is SO much to do in this area. There is some construction just outside but it didn’t hinder our stay at all. The window air units muffled any noise from outside...

'We spent 4 nights in the Garden Hideaway and it was a great spot to stay and use as a home base to explore the North Shore. It was just 2 of us this time, but even with 4 in a family, it was a large amount of space to live in. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely enjoy returning to this location.'

'The place was small but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was air condition which was great. The hosts were friendly and very easy to reach if needed. The place was in a good location. Not far from some good beaches and the polynesian cultural center and lots of good affordable places to eat near by Brenda Lee and Dave'

'The location is wonderful! The rental is clean overall but could stand some TLC. We asked the owner for bath soap as there was none (also no shampoo) and he bought it to us. We were told there was an outdoor space to hang out, like a porch or lanai, however there was not one. This might not matter to some.'

'It’s a great place to stay with a group who likes to cook and watch surfing. The property manager was very helpful and there when we needed her. If you are looking for the lap of luxury, hit a resort. If you are looking for a super fun place to spend some time, this is it!'

'Plenty of room for 10 of us, everything we needed and so enjoyable. Being right on the beach was great! We seen Dolphins, Monk Seals, many turtles, snorkeling was good with numerous fish. Enjoyed watching surfers. Beach was uncrowded, mostly had it to ourselves. Wish there would have been air conditioning options but overall a wonderful experience.'
