Not lying short of spectacular!
I wish I could have stayed longer! The house was perfect, the location was awesome! Very quiet and secluded! The river behind the house with the mountains in the back ground were breathtaking! When they say the house is fully stocked, they mean it! There was not a thing we needed we didn’t have! I know this sounds silly but the towels were awesome too! Big and soft! When we visited we were lucky enough to see the northern lights, I wish I could post pictures to show it off! Do not hesitate to book here! You will not regret it! Two towns very close by, good food, plenty of grocery store options! Hines near by, and the fishing!!!!! I hope to be able to visit again soon!

Charming
Quintessential Montana living, complete with local wildlife viewing from every window. Every comfort was provided right down to the towels & beds with so many gathering areas inside and out. The hosts were beyond accomondating. The only downside was having to leave and return to reality after renewing & making new memories with college friends from the 60's. Thanks, John & Jani, for sharing your Montana treasure.

We arrived in the Bitterroot Valley for a week long fishing trip. Unfortunately the waters were to high to fish. The renters gave us some great advice on an alternative fishing location and we were not disappointed. Great location on the river and a very 'homey' cabin feel. Not too far from restaurants and grocery stores. Would stay again.

Beautiful setting for a home away from home experience!
We had a wonderful long weekend in your home! It was perfect for the 3 generations we had with us. My father in law loved the fishing nearby! We spent hours in the wonderful gazebo visiting while enjoying the beautiful river and mountain setting or playing games in the back yard. The house was furnished with everything we needed and was so comfortable . The home and rooms were all much larger than I expected and decorated so nicely. My questions I had beforehand were answered very quickly. Thank you for a great home away from home experience in the beautiful Bitterroot!!

Grandma’s House
We can’t say enough about how much we have enjoyed staying in this perfect little house. This is a return visit for us, and hopefully we will return again soon. This is a perfect stay for a variety of numbers o guests. It is a super cozy, super clean home. Kitchen is perfectly outfitted, as well as are the bath and laundry area. It is convenient distance from Darby and Hamilton. There are several great trails and fishing spots that are easily found nearby. The view is spectacular with a beautiful little gazebo for watching sunsets and sunrises. A quiet beautiful getaway! Our favorite place to stay in the Bitterroots. Thank you so much for making such a special place available to us. We’llbe back!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this home. Peaceful walks down the riverside dirt road. Our boys swam in the river. Easy access to spectacular trails in the Bitterroots. Very clean house - extremely well equipped - comfortable beds & furniture. A true treasure!

The perfect setting with miles of private roads to walk along the river. I met one of the family members one evening and she was so kind. So much family history and love can be felt in the stories and in the home. Loved it all!

Great Location
If you want to be in a quiet serene location this property is fabulous! Being close to The River is wonderful although the access is not super easy. We still had a wonderful stay and I’m certain you will too!! * Just so you know there are only two bathrooms for 8 people. There is no bathroom on the upper level so the 4 guests staying up there will have to come downstairs to use the bathroom in the night. ( the ONLY thing that was not ideal)

What an amazing spot

Our favorite new place to stay!
This was a perfect place for our visit to the Hamilton area. Such a cozy little house in a beautiful setting. Close enough to town to be able to enjoy some great food and shopping. The home is well-equipped, well-maintained and super clean. It was everything we could’ve wanted. Thanks to the owners for making such a special little place available for our stay. We loved our stay here! The views are breathtaking, it's a short walk to the river, friendly horses for neighbors! The picture of the house from the outside makes it look deceptively small. It has three levels and tons of room. They supply everything you need. The beds, towels everything is the best quality! I highly recommend this house for your next vacation!

Super clean property with thoughtful touches like a brand new kitchen sponge, still in its wrapper, and every dish and cooking tool you'd ever need. Comfortable beds, furnishings and decor. The location on the river was perfect for our fishermen. The local angler shop actually recommended that spot for good fishing!

Cozy ranch house by the river
What an incredible piece of property! It exceeded our expectations. Peaceful and quiet. Offering something for everyone. Places to relax and enjoy nature, walking trails, fishing spots and beaches by the river. Horses, cows, chicken just over the fence. Our two year granddaughter was entertained all the time. Montana Delight
Will definitely be coming back here everytime. Coming from Atlanta, it was a much needed break from bussle of the city. From tranquil walks by the river, to smores by the campfire at night, this property blew away our expectations. We are already talking about our plans for the next time we go. There was more than plenty of room for all of my party of 5, including my family of 3, and 2 more . This property is a treasure in the mountains. Communication with land owners was no problem. Ownees made sure we were taken care of. It was AMAZING!!!

Peaceful! Close to the river an incredible bonus if you’re a fisherman. There is a charming gazebo for reading or just relaxing. And a vacated private road if you are interested in a stroll. Jani and John are the best!

The hosts were very proactive to make sure we arrived without any issues. The setting is beautiful and we enjoyed hiking along the river and seeing all the wildlife. We saw eagles every day that we stayed. The house is bigger than it appears in the pictures.

Rang in the new year in the lovely Montana house
We had a great trip to Montana and HIGHLY recommend this house. At first glance, it may seem small. Don't be fooled. We had 8 adults staying here and it was perfect. We cooked breakfast and dinner and had plenty of room to all sit around the table and eat. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and everything you need. All the beds were very comfortable. The owners were super quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again in the future

We had a wonderful time at this lovely house by the river. The house has everything you could possibly want: fireplace, fully-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, ample bathrooms (including a tub for soaking after a long day of fishing), gazebo overlooking the river, fire pit, picnic table, and spectacular views. The house as well situated between Hamilton and Darby with easy access to Missoula and to a host of fishing, hiking, riding and other activities nearby. Don’t miss the guides at Bitterroot Fly Shop or at Osprey Outfitters who offer wonderful fishing expeditions on the Blackfoot and Bitterroot Rivers All in all, a wonderfully relaxing 10 days.

Flyfishing Country Getaway!
My husband and I stayed a full week in mid-September. The weather was perfect, aside from the lingering smoke that had blown in from the wildfires in Washington, Oregon, and California. But even with that, it did not hinder us from fly fishing every day! The river was beautiful, fish were active. The home was nicely decorated, and the kitchen is stocked with nice dishes. The gazebo overlooking the river is a really restful place to relax. We also enjoyed a nice bike ride along the river down the road that borders the property. We really hope we have an opportunity to return sometime.

Wonderful trip
We had a wonderful stay at “Grandma’s house”. The home is very clean, well stocked, decorated beautifully, quiet and peaceful, and close to the river with great fishing. We loved sitting in the gazebo, enjoying some quiet time and the incredible view. Loved exploring Hamilton and some of the great eateries there. Loved every minute of our trip.
