'Parts of the house have been nicely decorated, but the lounge is tiny with barely room for 3 people, considering there are 4 double rooms. The Kitchen is really well equipped. The location is central, but the house is situated on a social housing estate. We worried about security/safety but were surprised how quiet it was at night. 'I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! One big thumbs up for me, was that John the owner greeted me at the property in person to show me how everything worked!'

We notified the owner, but did not hear back after the initial phone call. The water in the shower did not reach the showerhead, as it was leaking. So we could not shower. 'We really loved this house. It's been beautifully renovated and was spotlessly clean. Its all very functional and easy. The estate agent who manages the house was very easy to deal with, eg when we wanted to stay an extra night. The area has tons to offer (albeit some places are a 40 minute drive). Sutton Hoo just down the road, then Framlingham Castle and Orford Castle, Aldeburgh and Southwold (for any George Orwell fans!).
